  1. Does anyone know anything about the RB-1 speaker stands. Are they the same ones available on other websites (cheaper) or has Klipsch put a THX logo on them or something. You would think for 90 clams klipsch would provide better pictures, or maybe a 360 degree view (hint, hint). In all seriousness I am seriously interested in buying a pair and would appreciate any info or close-up pictures etc.
  2. The CP-1 will stop the crackle once and for all. I have the v2.400 and have noticed my bass to be punchier, and my rear speakers seem a little more responsive since I installed the CP-1. I had trouble getting the new pod to slide into the channel on the master satellite though, and had to file it down a little bit. Hope this helps.
  3. Had trouble installing the new CP-1 with my v2.400. I had to file down the dovetail-type mechanism that holds the pre-amp to the speaker just to get it to slide in. How annoying!!!! I also was unable to remove the stand on the speaker as instructed, despite using a powerful electric drill/screwdriver, almost totally stripping the screw. I had to slightly bend the stand to get the CP-1 to slide in (after filing the pre-amp) because I was unable to remove the stand. URRGH!!! Let me know if anyone else has had this problem. On a lighter note the CP-1 completely removes the crackle when changing the volume (thank God), and everything sounds a little crisper.....mostly the bass.
  4. Using a suggestion I read on the post to stop the crackling when adjusting the volume really worked. When the system is off or no sounds are playing, rapidly turn the volume knob in a full range of motion up and down for about five minutes and viola crackle be gone. Too bad I just shelled out the money for the CP-1, oh well I hear It will improve the sound a little so I guess its all good.
