  1. The price is over double market. $10k is still way too high. Let's be real. Yeah, it'd be great if my Klipsch speakers retained their value from when new but that isn't how the world works
  2. There was a pair listed on AK yesterday for $300; they are pending....
  3. They look nice; but the picture is making me nervous. Setting nice cherry veneered speakers on top of the others. 😉 Just teasing, I'm sure it was carefully set up there. Good luck with the sale!
  4. Yes, it is sold. I apologize; I'll update the thread!
  5. I went ahead and listed it on the bay with a start price of $325, less than half of the new $799 price
  6. Soundsmith SMMC20CL Cartridge, New / Unused, was purchased as a spare. I sold the turntable, so this is now for sale. It is new, in the box. The SMMC20CL features an advanced stylus design ~ a low mass "Nude Contact Line Diamond" that refines high frequencies at the inner grooves better than elliptical, and mounted to a solid RUBY ROD Cantilever." Details found at: https://www.sound-smith.com/cartridges/bo/smmc20cl-0 $799 new; I'm selling unused for $450.
  7. B&O MMC 20EN cartridge. This was a new old stock spare I had for my table which I sold. I have viewed this under a scope and also have installed it to verify it was as advertised when I purchased. I played a couple songs with it and put it back in its box. $140 shipped in to the 48 states
  8. Grounded Grid Preamp is still available. The Phono and SE OTL amps are sold.
  9. Update, Phono Pre sold, (2) amps sold pending pick up. Grounded Grid preamp still available.
  10. **SOLD** Thanks for all who were interested. These are a special pair of speakers; I will miss them!
  11. Added a few pictures so you can see what they look like.
  12. A little more info from Klipsch on the 60th Anniversary Edition Klipschorns: Low frequency response was enhanced with the addition of rear low frequency horn panels. This eliminated the need for a tight fit into the corner and permitted toe-in and toe- out flexibility for the first time. Additional upgrades were made to the binding posts, internal wiring, and network component specifications. Aesthetic enhancements included a Lacewood veneer finish on the LF cabinet and a high gloss Black finish on the HF cabinet. The traditional wood kick plate was replaced with a machined and anodized Aluminum version containing a Silver finish PWK logo containing a real diamond. The rear of the HF cabinet was totally enclosed with finished panels featuring display windows for a commemorative numbered plaque and the HF network. 200 pairs were produced.
  13. A little bump-itty-bump. If you have Khorns and want to try something new or your first set of tube amps; it would be worth your while to try these out. They are fast, and don't get in the way of the music. These are the closest to live sound as I've had in my system. And they glow beautifully...... The phono preamp is a great piece too.
  14. ** SOLD ** (1) Grounded Grid Preamp with 24 step attenuated volume , $450 ($899 new +$30 for upgraded volume control) plus shipping. ** SOLD** (2) Bridged SE OTL Transcendent Amps @ 4 watts per channel each, $500 each ($1,279 each new) ** SOLD** (1) Transcendent Phono Preamp, $550 ($1,099 new) The preamp and phono were ordered factory built. All work as they should come with good tubes and I have a set of (16) spare / new 6C19pi tubes as well. Preferences are personal and differ from person to person, but I can honestly say I've had several coveted amps / preamps and these sound better than any of them to me with Klipschorns. Star Chief 45's, McIntosh 240's, Heathkit UA-2's, Carver, VRD's, etc. These were the best and also some of the most reasonable priced in my opinion.
  15. Price reduced from $7,500 to $6,500 for the pair. Full add and pictures can be seen at https://desmoines.craigslist.org/ele/d/60th-anniversary-klipschorns/6501797821.html I also have a pair of the amps that matched best with these speakers - (2) bridged Transcendent SE OTL amps, Transcendent Preamp, Transcendent Sound Phono Preamp all for $2,250 https://desmoines.craigslist.org/ele/d/transcendent-otl-vacuum-tube/6501775034.html I moved a few years ago and the speakers have been packed back in their original boxes as I don't have the space for them. I just couldn't let them go; but it's time...... to let somebody else enjoy them!! They look and sound absolutely superb. Pickup preferred but shipping is possible.
  16. Where did you get the cool nativity set? I've been looking for one I like for a couple years without luck. Years ago, Sam's Club carried one that had handmade clothes / robes / blankets and it was an awesome deal, but I haven't seen it again for years.
  17. Trade ya for a pair of 60th Anniversary Khorns ;-) I feel your pain, I have the 60th, which I love, but I moved and my new house doesn't have a good room to fit them in. But I also don't want to get rid of them, they are simply beautiful and sound awesome. I love having the enclosed backs - they don't have to sit in a corner.
  18. I can place an order, but not for what I want. The site is messed up. For example if I want two shirts, one I can add to the shopping cart and the other I can not. It give no reason and doesn't say they aren't available, it simply doesn't do anything when you click on it to add to the cart. When you send a note asking what's up; you get no response. Phone call - same - nothing. They are making you look bad. Not returning a phone call or email request is one of the poorest forms of customer service in my opinion. I'd rather get a response saying they don't like me and don't want to sell to me, than to not get a response. I have think skin, I promise it won't hurt my feelings. Hopefully you can read my sarcasm / humor, but seriously, that's poor service.
  19. 1. Klipschorn 60th Anniversary 2. Klipschorn '78 Walnut 3. Cornwalls, '79 Walnut A close third would be the KLF30's, more slam, but I still like the Cornwalls better for their musicality
  20. I'll stick with my 60th Anniversary Editions. They are gems.
  21. Ha ha, I need two cool tee shirts to wear at a music event this weekend, but it looks like it won't happen now. Tried to order this past weekend, and Monday, Tuesday, etc. Patience...... isn't fun!
