  1. Btrigg - exactly...why repeat something that has been said over and over again... I don't care if it makes me look bad... I've been here for a year. I wanted these speakers since I first found out they existed - joined this BB to find out more about the Promedia's, and now that I have them, I could care less about getting banned or "looking BAD" BigBUSA is the one that "looks bad" since all of his comments are retarted opinions - like I said, he doesn't even own the promedias I stand by my previous comment...
  2. I don't get why fa&&ots like bigbusa can talk $hit about a product they don't even own, have probably never seen or heard... shut the #uck up
  3. what the hell was the point of posting that $hit 5 times???
  4. Wonder why BigUSA isn't showing his face in this thread... could it possibly be that he's completely wrong and that Promedia 4.1's ARE a great set of speakers and most of them do work...
  5. http://216.37.9.58/cgi-bin/ubb/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum23&topic=000754
  6. To verify that it's the control pod for sure plug your rear speakers into the front speaker output things on the back of the sub... then you'll know that it's not the sats...
  7. hot damn... That sucks dude... i didn't know that these things went out after a month or so... thought it was right out of the box or within a few days
  8. ear-piercing ehh???... i normally associate that description with high frequencies.... subwoofers don't make high frequencies.... i dont experience any of that crap... the bass in my music is just as good as it is in movies... it also depends where you sit when you listen to music... bass is weaker in some parts of a room...
  9. Got my replacement set today.... freakin AWESOME!!! Hope i got a good set...back of sub is warm but not hot... so far so good
  10. the 4.1's have had problems with the amp overheating... the speakers distort and eventually crap out... if your sub is warm then it's probably fine... if it's hot then you got an amp problem
  11. if it gets really warm then it is the amp... and they also distort after a while - another thing that happens when you have a bad amp
  12. hey, at least your's work... mine were dead out of the box... i think it's an amp problem, since it happens when the set "warms up" - feel the back of your sub...is it hot? could also be the preamp since the problem goes away when you mess with the controls... whatever the problem is... it's not good nor normal... you should take them back and get a replacement set
  13. yeah... they already got them... i shipped them out last week I want to know how long it takes them to "test/fix and send" the speakers... i know that once they ship them, i'll have to wait another 5 days or so...
  14. Klipsch received my broken set yesterday(Teusday) How long will it take them to send me my new set and do they email me when they do? Do they give me the tracking #???
  15. you've never seen the headphone output and input on the control pod??? Then you must not have the 4.1's... you have the V.2-400. All 4.1 systems come with the new control pod... Just in case you're wondering - the new conrol pod does work with the V.2-400's And there is a switch... its a button that allows you to mute all the sats and sub...
  16. so is that busted set still under the warranty... if it is, email amy (tech support)... you can find the control pod here--> http://www.klipschonline.com/store/product.asp?dept%5Fid=3&pf%5Fid=018 8.2 system...hehe... too bad you wouldn't have all those channels since the sb live doesn't have 10 channels
  17. you can use the rear sats by getting them splitter things.... check out the manual... read the two channel soundcard setup... if your soundcard is 2 channel then get a 4 channel one cuz not having a 4 channel soundcard defeats the purpose of having a 4 channel speaker system... by getting the splitter you'll have audio comin from the rear but it's gonna be the same as the front quite a few people with recent working sets ...good... still got hope
  18. well if you plug them in and your sub makes a noise then at least the power gets that far... so it might not be your amp... prob the preamp(control pod) if a your fuse blew then i dont think your sub would make a noise every time you plug it in... the warranty is 1 year....
  19. its been thirty-some hours now... when i first emailed Amy about this, i got a response in a few minutes...then right away i emailed klipsch again, at some email address amy gave me... still didn't get anything...
  20. good... you're online.... how long does it usually take for klipsch to email an RMA #?
  21. LOL seriously though....u bought the 4.1's sometime in the last 2 months? thought u had the 5.1's....
  22. so how are them speakers holdin up??? just curious cuz my speakers were dead out the box too.. i emailed klipsch... still waiting for that RMA #....
  23. this forum was made to help customers that have problems with klipsch's products...so there are obviously going to be many posts about bad systems... just curious though... how many people here have recently (last 2 months) bought a set of promedia 4.1's and they worked right out of the box... and they continued to work - didn't crap out in a week or two...??? just say "me" or "yes", whatever...
