  1. A wise man... and at the same time a missed opportunity for a lucky soul!!!!!
  2. Added some current pictures of the B&K
  3. You can also just cut small piece of speaker wire and strip both ends. You can use that to make the connection from the HF post to the LF post. If you have trouble finding the gold strap. All you need to do is make a connection to both sets of terminals.
  4. Amp I in use right this min I will find out about the exact age.
  5. I will post a couple pictures of the rear panel when I get time. My originals were to big so have to take again.
  6. I have decide to sell my B&K Reference 4430 amp, output on this device is 200x3 @ 8 ohms or 325x3 @ 4ohm. Price is $450 this includes shipping in the Conti US and Paypal fees. This has a very warm sound great low end, sounds perfect with any Klipsch speaker. The 4430 gets wonderful reviews no matter what drivers are used or the situation. I am going to push toward using all the same brand amps in my living room. This is the only reason for the sale. This would be a great amp for anyone looking to provide more power to their front sound stage or the back channels to a 7 channel rear setup. You name it, it's reliable sounds great and will work in just about any situation. Condition is 8/10 due to age it looks great. I will be happy to answer any and all questions. Just in case people are interested in how I have use this amp KP201's RF7's and right now it's powering my RC7. Thank you for your interest.
  7. Philly using the NAD on the HF terminals and a strong amp on the LF terminals IMO would give you outstanding results. This is the path I have taken with my setup. Having power you don't need will always be more beneficial than needing power you don't have. I am currently running my RC7 with the B&K before that, the amp powered the LF terminals on my RF7's.
  8. Looks like a road trip in the works. Thanks for the info guys!!!
  9. Philly I am south of Pine Bluff I know what it's like to be so close but not haveing the time to make it over there. Awesome pictures! My plan is to make the drive in the fall. Thanks for the great post.
  10. Chuy's Mexican restraunt in Little Rock Ar. Nice Spot
  11. Bump for the Anthem MCA series just bought a MCA 5 and love it. Would not hesitate to buy another anthem product.
  12. Sorry guys this one was out there in left field. I was not thinking clear about the AC circuit in the RV. So the limiting factor will be the 115 circuit breaker.
  13. Thanks guys for all the information. That really helps in explaining that concept.
  14. I have a friend that has just purchased a RV (Camper, 5thwheel) This RV has a 6 channel installed horriable sound system. He is looking to replace the burnt out avr dvd all in one system that is in there. With something elses and maybe add some marine speakers outside. If he buys a low profile avr and a dvd player which runs off a power inverter could be run a 4 channel car amp to power other speakers? Being the primary power source is 12volt.. I guess my question is will there be a problem sending a home RCA signal to a car amp? I have used both but never at the same time.
  15. Tas this is something I wrote a while backt that will support your thought. I havechanged a few things in the setup My NAD now powers the HF and my B&K powers the LF on the RF7s. Very nice Much more impact than only running one amp. Just thought you might like another opinion. The more clean power you can run the better. I don't like the idea of distortion creeping up just to try and get close to the RMS power. Guys I have the RF7's like a lot of members. I think people should look at the spec sheet for this large floor standing monsters. The spec sheets states 250watts RMS, this is an understatement. I am running 375 to each one of mine and they will take way more on the LF side. The way I have found to get the best performance from mine is to Bi amp. Running them this way really makes everything flat and nice!. The problem I had with my Mac only on the RF7's it would sound great at low volumes but when turned up the horn would over power the LF to the point it seemed obvious to me. If think about electricity following the path of least resistance or the sensitivity after the power hits the crossover the horn will be louder every time. Using two channels of amplification on each you have two separate sources so the horn does not rob from the LF drivers, or when the LF drivers ohm dips the horn is not affected. Let me explain the 375 Mac MC250 (250x2) runs the HF on the RF7s and NAD 925 (130x5 give or take) runs the LF. This has given me such a good result I don’t normally have my Paradigm Servos turned on. This is just what has worked best for me I really want to get another amp to run the LF side that is a better match for the MAC something that will put out closer to 250 so everything will be equal. Feed the monsters!!!!!!LOL
  16. This may be a rookie question but i am going to ask anyway. This might bring up some good information. If I understand this one watt of power applied to a speaker will result in x number of db or sound at 3 feet or one meter. Is this right? Ok if we only need one watt why do we buy huge amps? Me included. I have always gone with the theory run at least the RMS wattage to the speaker cab. I hope this will start some great disscusion.
  17. This is a link to one of my favorite daily vitamins. I work shift work rotate between nights and days. Work in a control room with lots of stress and flouresent lights. This is a great one. Way better than GNC stuff, I like it because it is all food based. I don't eat right all the time. They make alot of different options but I can get this one at my local Walmart. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007YCC7S/ref=twister_B000EEDZ7M?ie=UTF8&psc=1
