Lars IS a joke, and though I don't like the whole death metal thing there are some AMAZING musicians in that genre...the drummer for "DEATH" comes to mind.... ---------------- If you're talking about their last drummer, Richard Christy, then I must wholeheartedly agree. You'd be surprised how many people I come across who think a great drummer is someone who is really fast. But it takes real talent to play fast and with finesse, and Richard Christy falls under that category. His latest work with Iced Earth is quite good as well, but his stuff with Death is simply some of the best drumming I've heard.
  2. Since I'm somewhat knowledgable on Totem speakers, I'll try to help. Totem mainly focuses on 2 channel, but they are getting into home theatre more. They offer two centre speakers, the Model 1 Centre Sig and the Mite TC, and the recently released Dreamcatcher system. They also released the Lynks bipole/dipole speaker a little while back. The Mani-2 unfortunately doesn't have a dedicated centre speaker, but I have heard of people using them as main speakers in an HT. Most use the Model 1 Centre Sig speaker. It's not a perfect match, but it works quite well. Another option is to use another Mani-2 as a centre. This route is definately way more expensive but it will give you a seamless front soundstage. Hope this helps. BTW, I hope you don't plan on using the SR-19 to power the Mani-2's. They require a decent amount of quality power, and no receiver is going to offer that.
  3. Me'Shell Ndegéocello's Comfort Woman is wicked. My favorite CD of 2003.
  4. Finally a review from someone who isn't deaf. I've read a couple other comments from people who've heard them and all they say are "The Sigs are a waste of money, just fancy looking Studios," blah blah blah. I personally can't wait to hear them. Unfortunately my Paradigm dealer doesn't have them in yet.
  5. Yura, I use the Game Theatre. I powers the 590's quite well. But I'll likely pick up a headphone amp soon. I play games and listen to mp3's and the occasional CD. The Senn's do a very good job with all of them. But I do all my critical music listening on my JMlab/NAD stereo system.
  6. I have the 590's and I enjoy them a lot. I use them with my computer since I don't have any computer speakers. It's a wise idea to audition headphones first. I went with the 590's because I thought they offered the best value for my price range. The 580's and 600's have a smoother response while the 590's are a bit more lively. I liked the Senn 600's but they were too expensive for me. And between the 580's and 590's, I preferred the latter.
  7. It wouldn't load for me all day but it does now.
  8. Yep, she sure is a beaut. This sub is part of the new Signature Series. It's going to have a considerable step up in price compared to the Servo 15.
  9. Nice system HAMMER. 7B's powering KLF-30's? Have you ever tried listening at full volume?
  10. My Halo dealer doesn't carry Klipsch. But with the all speakers I've listened to powered by Halo amps, I would say they are neutral with a touch of warmth. One thing that also stood out to me about them was how fast and dynamic these amps are. Not in the same league as Simaudio or even Bryston, but still very nice. I would most definitely buy Halo products if they were priced more competitively here in Canada. But at least I still have the Canadian offerings.

And no I don't believe everything a dealer says. If I did, I would probably have something like Nuance or Cerwin speakers. But instead I have Klipsch, B&W and JMlab speakers.
  12. I heard it from my Klipsch dealer. I'm thinking it's just home audio. He said Bose is the largest.
