I want to be able to use the 4.1's from two computers in my office. Is there some type of switch or can I use a Y adapter set up with the Creative sound cards, will there be feedback issues?. Wow I fixed it. I had recently installed a new OS. Ran the Creative LIve 'speaker preset setup', and a re-boot. Now the fronts work. Nothing stops me anymore! My 4.1 front speakers are not working. Any ideas?? I have a creative live card and it's set at 4 speakers. Everything has been working great for months. If you have Win 98se open the sound mixer control panel, click Options, Properties...Wave/DirectSound/MP3 is checked? If so turn up the volume in the mixer control under Wave/DirectSound! Belial, I would try any adjustments that you may have for that center, it won't hurt. My SC-1 is very bright and clear, but it's not scratchy. Send that dude back and get the rc-3. If you could buy it localy then you could take that back if it's too much sound and skip being stuck with shipping charges. Let me know how it sounds if you go that route. Seems like my brother had the same problem that you are having. He made some changes in the the Multimedia settings in the Control Panel and got them all working. I have the SB Live MP3 also. If I turn the volume up to 12 o'clock it blows me out of the room. I also keep the subwoofer control around 10 o'clock. The SB Live MP3 has the coaxial digital out which I have hooked up to my Sony receiver in the other room. It sounds like I am playing CD's when I run MP3 sound out from the puter! I had the same problem with my new set. I had to ship them back and wait for a replacement set, which I just got today. You will have to get in touch with Klipsch Promedia returns department. Well I got a new fuse and the woofer is back to woofing. Had to go to Radio Shack for that slow blow 1.25A fuse. Looks like I need to keep that sub-woofer output down some on my Sony receiver. I turned up my Sony receiver woofer output to +2, got through the entire movie The Sixth Day and then the fuse blew. I am suprised that just raising up to +2 would do this. I'll try to get some fuses tomorrow, hope thats all thats wrong! I bought this through BrandNamez.com, and now I am hearing some bad stuff about the warranty. I hope it's just hot air, I have a serial number and a original box that was un-opened??? Steve

I was playing around with the my SF-2's, small and large settings. I found that there was not that much difference between the two settings. I actually had to look at the speakers to see if they were 'moving' more. I did notice that the midranges work harder in the large setting but the sound is not any better. It must be that the KSW-12 is so efficiant? That sub just works so good I can't hear the mids on the SF-2's working harder, but that is the way these speakers are made. They don't offer 5.1 with any of their PPV? That's to bad. Dishnetwork has a few PPV now showing with Dolby Digital and it looks like most of the new ones are becoming available this way. I think in the near future most broadcasts on PPV will be with 5.1. Digital cable will follow I'm sure. Now all I need is a DVDR and life will be perfect!!! Wow!!!! I have been home with a crappy cold today so I am taking advantage of my system. Those MP3's off the puter are great! As for the SS-1's, they sound super. I had to play around with the settings on my reciever. I had the rear base up way to high and was getting some crackle with large base sounds. Still getting used to all these new settings with the Sony, but once I got that base down the crackle is gone. Last night we watched U571 and Remember the Titans. With my old infinity rears the sound was there but not that great. With the Klipsch it's like your in the sub with the crew! I can't imagine a better sounding system. Steve ------------------
