  1. wow- I thought Mike's prices were pretty good- good to know, thanks. I actually received everything today- pretty quick service. So thanks again to Mike. Now everything will sit in its boxes for a while until the room is done (sigh).
  2. Sometimes it depends what klipsch line you are looking at also. The new synergy line I think only sells at best buy. ASD is probably your best bet for reference stuff like others have already posted. But another great place to buy klipsch is used like craigs list. Good speakers last a really really long time. Klipschs old stuff was built to last a life time. For the price of those older speakers you can't lose. Unless you spend a few grand you won't find better speakers new from klipsch. Actually I have sold a lot of Klipsch stuff on craigslist. KLf\F 30 system. Chorus and some smaller KG speakers. They all went pretty quickly. lots of Klipsch fans out there it seems.
  3. I want to thanks everyone for steering me to mike over at AcousticsoundDesign. really nice guy, knowledgable and great pricing. Placed an order with him and should have everything friday- very happy.
  4. No, just tell him Youthman sent you and maybe he'll send me a check for the money that you save. From my understanding, he just has good prices. nothing wrong with a little commission
  5. ok thanks, I'll put a list together and give him a call. Should I tell him I got his name from this forum, or are his prices just that good. thanks again
  6. They charge retail for everything. correct- their customer service is good but no savings really- which Is why I thought then why not buy direct from Klipsch but-basically both charge the same. I don't really have any experience with any other web retailer that sells klipsch.
  7. just curious as to where everyone thinks the best place to buy Klipsch from. Seems the prices are the same everywhere- so maybe buying direct from Klipsch? In the process of building a HT room and was looking for some ceiling speakers and possibly surrounds also. The AVS store no longer carries klipsh so they are out. maybe crutch field? thanks
  8. still waiting to hear back from a prospect- who says he wants everything. If not I can possibly look into shipping. One important detail I forgot. Wife factor. She doesn't seem real thrilled with me selling the set- go figure. Gonna have got work my charm. She knows me too well and knows I will be looking to buy new stuff in the future sometime...DUH!
  9. Finally got a few hits of interest on craigslist- so we'll see. first one didn't pan out. waiting on another now. wow shipping the towers would be pricey I'd imagine.

    New RF7ii

    very nice looking-enjoy
  11. posted entire setup on craigslist for $1700. we'll see what happens. I've had good & bad experiences with craigslist. Hopefully only normal people with a love for Klipsch will respond.
  12. that would be nice- but don't think it todays market it would fly. But I can dream big! I would be happy with that for sure wow, good to know. Not sure where or how I could get them anywhere to ship though. Don't have a truck -also I have never done anything on ebay before either, only craigslist. Sold my KLF set up that way. Of course it would be nice to sell the whole setup at once- but I would think selling the center and or surrounds separately would prove much more difficult than the towers.steer clear of eBay. 10% fee. So that 1495 was actually 150$ less good to know- again I have never dealt with ebay so I was unaware of that.

  14. excellent-thanks everyone for the info-appreciate it. Seems like opinions vary on this issue somewhat- but looks like anywhere between $1300-$1500 would seem to be in the ballpark as a fair deal for the whole setup? Of course many on craigslist seem to always want to chew you down on price-but who can blame them for wanting the best deal.
  15. thanks. I really like them and they sound fantastic. But with all the packing and demo work thats going to be happening I thought maybe maybe just easier for now to box them up and sell instead of having to keep moving them from room to room while all the work is going on in the house. Just putting the feelers out there-since I have no idea what the going rate is. I sold my B&K separates to a co worker a few weeks ago along with a smaller RB 3 set up I had. So freeing up a lot of room will help.
  16. I'm in MA. I've been poking around the web for some input but didn't see a lot of info. Forgot to mention they are in excellent condition. I am original owner with boxes etc. here is pic if it helps
  17. Hi all, I currently have a RF7, RC7 in cherry along with two RS7 surrounds. I am doing some house remodeling soon, including building a new media room. I will have to pack up and re-box a lot of stuff in the coming months including this setup. Just curious if I chose to sell it what is the current going rate for such a setup?

    New setup

very true- actually I love it all. stereo, multi-channel music and Movies-lots of movies!

    New setup

Not gimmicky to me. When I play music on my main HT system, I engage NAD's "Enhanced Stereo"(all channel stereo) most of the time. It really opens things up with a fullness and depth that is hard to describe. I have the SACD of GYBR 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition and it is phenomonal in multichannel. I bet the BD is just as good or better. By the way, nice RF-62II setup. I will also say this, Klipsch does a great job with their vinyl cherry veneer, looks pretty close to the real thing. Bill good to know- I was thinking in the future of maybe getting a NAD receiver for this setup. And multi-stereo mode is important to me. As you can see in the KLF pic- I used to have NAD separates for two channel and really liked how they paired up with Klipsch.

    New setup

it was tough- really tough. but needed the extra room for some furniture pieces and I had just got the RF7 setup. I had Chorus I's before , but losing the KLF30s was tougher.

    New setup

this is what I had before the RB3 setup. but was too much for the room- but they did sound nice. KLF30s and a massive Mirage BPS400 sub.

    New setup

yeah, wow...that subs gorgeous thanks- I picked it up a few years ago- not sure they offer it in this finish anymore. Cherry would be great but I can't be too fussy. I do like it much better over the usual black matte finish. It is a great little sub. size is deceiving for sure.
