  1. do not buy the stands at the klipsch store. i've seen the same stands for 40 dollars on some online retail stores. i bought my stands from radio shack for 25 dollars and they look fine.
  2. there's really nothing to it. just connect the 16 gauge to it's corresponding plug (make sure you stay consistent with your wiring). you don't need to solder anything. you can simply use electical tape. good luck.
  3. you don't need to solder anythying or any special tools. all you need are four Radio Shack (part #274-868) solderless 1/8" mono plugs and some electrical tape. it's pretty self explanatory. just connect the wire to the plugs.
  4. hey everybody, i just wanted to know what everybody's favorite dvds are: here are my top 10 (in no particular order) 1. leon-the professional (uncut intl version) 2. rocky III 3. seven 4. fight club 5. legend of drunken master 6. crouching tiger hidden dragon 7. braveheart 8. romeo must die 9. the shawshank redemption 10. hard boiled
  5. try shaving off some of the edges...that's would i did and now it fits perfectly.
  6. where can i download a full version of the latest windvd and dvd genie? thanks
  7. yes, this is a common problem. there is no permanent solution. if the statis really gets to you consider getting the cp1. that would eliminate the static noise when changing the volume.
  8. swerv swerv swerv....hahahahaahahahahahahahahah
  9. you do not need to solder anything. all you need are 4 solderless 1/8" mono plugs which you can get at radio shack (part #274-868). if you're not comfortable wilt soldering, you can simply use electrical tape to seal it. it worked fine with mine.
  10. how could removing the grills damage the subs? a grill is a grill. just take it off. doesn't require a whole lot of thinking.
  11. i've had my pro v2-400 for almost 8 months now and recently upgraded the preamp with the cp1 and replaced the wire with some monster 16 gauge. there is a definite difference regarding overall sound reproduction however it's not huge. if you're looking into improving sound, the cp1 is not worth it unless you really want the headphone and input jack. actually the only reason why i got the cp1 is cause i found a 50 dollar on the sidewalk on my way to class one day. hhahaha...if you have 50 dollars that you're willing to spend, get the cp1 if not, your current control pod will more than satisfy.
  12. get some 16 gauge wire and four solderless 1/8" mono plugs from radio. it's pretty self explanatory. you should be able to figure it out. if not, just ask again. good luck.
  13. i just upgraded my pro v2-400 with the cp1 and some 16 gauge wire with gold plugs and despite what some of you might say, there IS improvement in overall sound. not a significant difference, but very noticeable. anyways, klipsch i cannot praise you guys enough for these speakers. i have many friends on my hall that decided against klipsch. going with boston acoustics, midilands, altecs. they're utter fools and now they wish that they had my speakers. they thought that we'd be going to their rooms to watch dvds. haha. i don't think so. way to go klipsch. keep up the good work. i will most definitely purchase future klipsch products.
  14. yeah, it should work. i recently upgraded with 16 gauge. all you need are 4 solderless 1/8" mono plugs which you can find at radio shack. it's pretty self explanatory from there. 12 gauge might be pretty thick so you might have the shave it down a bit. good luck.
