Any sub will work you can hook it up via the B output or the preamp out to sub.[Y]

Man am I tired.[|-)] 3 OTs what a great hockey game this is going to be a great series. Looks like the fans were a little more into the game yesterday.
-
The problem is that most of the real fans can not afford to get in to see the game. $235 for a standing room ticket up as high as you can get to see the Bruins. Me and my friend would go stand for $2.75 in the 70's, at the real Mad House on Madison and there was more energy in those regular season crowds then in this years play off crowds. I still am a true fan and watch and cheer for my Blackhawks. I am also pleased that this years final will match up two of the original 6 frachises of the NHL. GO HAWKS!!!!

I too am very happy with my HK 3600 both for music and movies.

You will love the Chorus IIs but you need to get them more power. I had the Chorus IIs and also the KA 7100. What really brought the Chorus IIs to life for me was the Kenwood Basic M2A amp.
-
Yes, that is the way it is up here. But when you are the seller it is a good thing.
-
Not too much power unless you turn it up all the way. I used an old Kenwood Basic M2A, 220wpc, and was very happy with its performance. That being said the highest volume I had it on was at 1 o'clock on the volume control, and my Chorus IIs had to be pushing out close to 120db[].
-
Chorus IIs they are beasts at high volume.
-
$950 with the upgrade may be a litttle high. I sold my Chorus IIs a little over a year ago with no upgrades for $800. I think $850 would be a good price for that pair, maybe get lucky and offer the seller $800 if you have that much in your budget.
-
I see there is a pair of Chorus IIs on Craigslist in Indy. Chorus II is an excellent speaker that shows its strength when given lots of power.

Concerts, live music at bars, my two friends Cerwin Vegas and my JBLs have all contributed to my deminished hearing. Oh well I had fun so, so be it.
-
Wow Zer! I am hard of hearing now if I had that in my younger days I would be totally deaf now. NICE but be careful!

I think once you listen to the La Scalas you will know that they are the keepers. I heard some Cornwalls and thought that they were unimpressive untill a sub was hooked up with them. At that time I had Chorus IIs and now have La Scala's and have not looked back. ENJOY! [8]

I have a pair of AW 650(replaced KHO-7s) mounted under the eve. (Take down over the winter) Polk Audio Atrium Sub 10 passive sub Kenwood Basic M1D amp and a Carver C-2 pre-amp. Sounds great and most of my visitors say my outdoor system sounds better then their in home systems. []

My son bought the same sub about a year ago on sale for $299. For that price I do not think you could get something that would be better.
-
Lyle, I see that he is right by Union Grove. Are you old enough to remember the drag racing track there? I went there several times back in the day.
-
Steve, I purchased a beautiful pair, of exactly what you are looking for, about a year ago. I paid $1400 and if you see them you would know why I paid that much. That being said it would take $1500 to pry them away from me. I have been hesitant to contact you because I like them so much. You are more then welcome to come look and listen, if you forgot, I am a fellow Oak Forester. Cliff

Pro Amplifier on Klipschs (Crown or Qsc ?)
BigCliff replied to dtximages's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Here is one to think about. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenwood-Basic-M2A-Amplifier-Very-Nice-Condition-with-Owners-Manual-/181070320873?pt=US_Home_Audio_Amplifiers_Preamps&hash=item2a28a1d4e9 I still have my M2A and it is a beast, been working for 25 years without a glitch. -
Get the 3600 you will love it. My son recently purchased a Pioneer Elite VSX-51 and the HK is a better unit all round. He only bought the Pioneer because of the price and could not afford the 3600 at that time.
-
I have not used or heard the EMO but I will say this. I went from a Marantz ZR6001 to the HK 3600. In my opinion musically speaking the 3600 was by far much better. For HT I would give the HK a slight edge.

Looking for a new AV receiver......need suggestions
BigCliff replied to mark1101's topic in Home Theater
Give this a look. http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/SHERR972/SHERWOOD-R-972-Newcastle-7.1-A/V-Surround-Receiver-TrueHD-DTS-HD/1.html I have a Harman Kardan AVR 3600 and love it, maybe you can find one used in your price range. -
When I was looking to replace my Marantz AVR with a newer receiver that could decode the newest sound tecnology, I came to this forum for advise. With the advice of several members, I was steared towards the Harman Kardon AVR 3600 and I am very very happy with it. It plays music much better then the Marantz and is pretty much a toss up on HT sound. If I were you I would look at the Harman Kardon AVR 2650 or AVR 3650. GOOD LUCK

I have been looking on ebay and craigslist, I will keep an eye out for a MC 2505. Thanks for the info.
