  1. I wish I lived closer- I've really wanted to get a pair of RF83s. You've got a PM.
  2. Just curious, Fish, what Marantz did you have that you didn't like the sound of? My first introduction to "hi-fi" was as a kid, when my grandfather had a beautiful early 60s setup of Marantz gear hooked up to a pair of Klipschorns.
  3. Hey all, I recently got a RC-64 to replace my RC-35, which was quite a nice instant upgrade. I'm now looking to replace my current fronts (A pair of RB-35 on stands) with some floorstanders. I hardly ever see any RF-63s for sale (at least not where anybody will ship), and I'm not quite sure I can put out the cash for a pair of RF 83s at the moment (There are a couple of pair on ebay right now, that I'd love, but still stinging from paying off a new roof and new bathroom). Anyway, I've seen some deals on RF-82ii's and have wondered, how would they pair up with my RC64 (not ii)? Any suggestions on other floorstanders that would go well with it? Thanks, Matt
  4. It's especially difficult to get good pics of my home theater in operation, because I've got LED backlighting as well as overhead track lighting near the rear of the room- I'll put up something better soon- I was too busy enjoying the new (to me) RC 64.
  5. Here's a not so good picture of my current setup- RB35s for fronts, RC64 center, RS35 surrounds, powered by a Marantz SR5005. There's also an Emotiva Ultra Sub 10 in the corner to help the low end, too. Hopefully I can get together some more coin and get a pair of RF-63s for the front L and R, sooner than later.
  6. You could send those RF-63s to me, and my Marantz would play nice with them
  7. Hi, I'm Ethel. I'm a 12 year old Chihuahua/Pomeranian.
  8. My RB-35s have provided a lot of enjoyment, and even after a few years of owning them, they still ocassionally surprise me with how much excellent sound they put out. I've got them powered by a Marantz SR5005, and the combo seems to do really well. I tried powering them with an NAD amp (don't have the model # at the moment), but it just sounded kind of harsh.
  9. Lemme guess...you look like Bon Jovi. Hahahaha! Not even close, oh that's great! This is a Halloween costume from a few years ago... my apologies to anybody that may be eating or drinking while browsing these fine forums.
  10. My current system is RB-35s for front, RC-35 and RS-35s for side surrounds- they absolutely sound wonderful for what they are. I'm starting to upgrade things (just bought an RC-64 from another forum member), and I'm on the lookout for a pair of RF-7s I'll most likely move the RB-35s to rear surround duty, and finally move to a 7.1 setup.
  11. I'm super lucky on this front. My wife LOVES my audio setup- why? She's a crazy Bon Jovi fan, and every piece of gear that I buy, is towards the goal of making her favorite Bon Jovi CDs/DVDs/Blurays look and sound as good as possible. She spends stupid amounts of money on her Bon Jovi tickets and tours and stuff, and doesn't even ask how much my newest amp or speakers cost.
  12. Thanks for the reply- I don't have the budget or the nerve to do any internal mods, but I've done plenty of mods to the outsides of different things around the house.
  13. Forgive my ignorance, but what do these mods accomplish?
