  1. Here's a play by play of what was said: So you didn't say it directly but the insinuation is there or, you really were making it up and the spec's are correct? Chief bonehead Forum Veteran Regulars 505 443 posts Posted 17 hours ago Done. You don't get it see ya!! As I told deano , I don't owe you anything.
  2. No one on this forum is a God, or deserves to be worshiped, etc. The question put forth to Ray was quite simple, and could/should have been addressed properly, pages ago. I for one have had enough of some people's pompous attitude on this forum. There was a time, many years ago when people were friendly and helpful on this forum. No longer does this seem to be the case. Over and out Houston! Best regards, John
  3. JimJimbo, I have read through this thread several times and have yet to find a "pissy" attitude toward anyone. Has the Klipsch Forum become a religion with a high Archy similar to the Vatican in Rome?
  4. Yes. Thank you. INMHO no one is trying to trip up anyone, or arrange an inquisition or anything else mid-evil. Just clarification on the bottom response of the forte and forte II, Best regards, John
  5. Wow! Why has such a simple question become so confrontational? Either the forte and forte II went down to 32HZ, or they did not. If not, why cant a better explanation be provided other than flipped responses? Best regards, John
  6. All documentation that I have from my pair purchased in 1992 shows a bottom response of 32HZ. As well as documentation on the Klipsch website. I believe that the new forte III will probably become the most popular, best selling speaker in the current Heritage/Extended Heritage lineup. However at $3,600 a pair, I will stick with my modified II's. Upgraded mid and tweeter diaphragms to titanium and put in a Crites made band pass rollover between squawker and tweeter. So, INMHO pretty darn close to a Forte III, along with a better low end.
  7. Anyone know if the dimensions of the forte III are the same as the forte II? Would be nice to have a set of the lambs wool grill covers on my forte II.
  8. The Forte II digs down to 32Hz. Are you sure only 38Hz on III? Best regards, John
  9. Bob Crites replacement mid range is phenolic and not titanium. You can order K53TI, titanium diaphragms for the mid range through Klipsch directly, Sernd me a PM if you want additional information. A titanium diaphragm in the squawker horn does require a crossover mod. You have one of the best balanced speakers Klipsch ever made. Enjoy, and best regards. John
  10. It is the beginning of the zombie apocalypse! Best regards, John
  11. Mark; Small world, my hunting property as well as a friend of mines are both located in Bull Valley. Best regards, John
  12. Anyone else looking forward to Spring turkey hunting? I will be in the field end of second week of April in McHenry County IL. Best regards, John
  13. Bought my forte II new in 1992, so 24+ years. Best regards, John
  14. Every 10-12 hours of use. I must be doing something right since my CD player dates back to 1992, with no issues ever. Best regards, John
  15. Good luck. Remember to check your local Craigslist etc. The should pop up fairly often. Best regards, John
  16. Interesting speakers that Bob is building these days. Would love to see a joint product from him and Nelson Pass. http://www.bobcarvercorp.com/#!als/cwgy Best regards, John
  17. A little wood filler and a coat of paint and would be damn near perfect. If I were closer I would jump on. Are passive radiators dent and hole free? Best luck with your sale. John
  18. That is what your volume control is for. I run an Adcom amp rated at 250 WPC continuous to a pair of forte II. The extra reserve capacitance power is a plus for difficult loads or passages. Best regards, John.
  19. Perhaps another 7 or 8 decades of Democratic control? Best regards, John
  20. I run a 250 WPC amp with forte II. forte II are rated 100 continuous, 500 peak. As others have stated much larger presence/head room, better bass response at all levels, and plenty of reserve capacitance power for difficult loads and or passages. Best regards, John
  21. Bob Crites can also build you a squawker roll off. My forte II have new BC networks, his titanium tweeter, and Klipsch K53 Ti mid-range drivers. I had Bob build a band-pass roll off. I have been extremely happy with the results. Best regards, John
