  1. Well right now there is no issues since I don't have it setup. The seller said that the higher quality RCA cables will provide better signal then the XLR. But to me the simplicity of the one XLR cable vs 5 RCA cables makes it appealing, a cleaner setup. Am I wrong?
  2. Yes I am mean the XLR cables vs RCA. I was told the RCA's will provide better quality sound?
  3. Ok so I am going to finally get my dream setup! Mcintosh mc7205/mx134! I could never afford this setup new, but used is just as good to me! Now what/how should I connect the 2 together? I was told to use RCA cables, not the pin connector. Does this sound right? Omg you guys have no IDEA how excited I am, it's been a dream since I was 15 to own Mac gear!
  4. I just got tired of not having a pair of heresys in my computer setup, so I sprang for a decent to me receiver, and am now finally using my HII's I got last year together! " mce_src="" alt="" border="" hspace="" vspace="" width="" height="" align="" />
  5. Youth, I just happen to have my 2.1 for sale, its like brand new, used for about a year. You could take the amp out of mine and use it for your star wars setup if you wanted to keep the theme?
  6. Was that "puss IN boots"?????
  7. Sorry I wasn't clear on that, I was saying I would contribute if jhoak was to adopt one or two. Its all good, I think I was just trying to understand it myself! Thats cool you are willing to do that [Y] I wish I knew someone else around here willing to take them both, I cant keep them here much longer. Marshal, you've got some land, come on [H]
  8. If you want, I could make a donation to help feed them if you were serious??? Thats the norm to do now at the no kill shelters. Duder1982, im not sure if thats a comeback or you want to buy me a bag of dog food??
  9. If you want, I could make a donation to help feed them if you were serious??? [^o)] Thats the norm to do now at the no kill shelters.
  10. I was going to photoshop it out, but I thought oh well!
  11. They are both very nice dogs, sad to see what happend. It seems as though they belonged to a home up the road in our subdivision, but the home is now foreclosed and they just left the dogs behind. I am trying to take them to a no kill shelter, but its kinda full/busy as it is. Jeff, what you cant stop eating to fed some dogs??!![6]
  12. Speaking of dogs, anyone want to adopt any??? I found a pair of beautiful pit bulls in our front yard, and well in the neighborhood. No chips, non aggressive, very friendly. I want to find a home for them since I cant keep 4 dogs in this small house! I am in orlando fl.
  13. ohh, you simply must try it out if/when you can. Don Davis has a 4 khorn + academy + svs pb 12 ultra that simply sounds glorious with movies. Ohh isnt it to die for??? Heavens to betsy!!
  14. [H] It would be cool to see the small electronics (Klipsch computer speakers, headphones, etc) Klipsch has, come home to be made in Hope. I know that would never happen, but who knows?? BTW, I just got a new cover for my wifes work phone, the otter box. Since when are they made in china??? Well at least the cover I got her is assembled in USA, wow [bs]
  15. Sounds like a girl I used to know, but her diposition, that's another story.
  16. Not sure they fit the "bookshelf" footprint. Maybe. Many people do actually use them as bookshelves, or as surround sound speakers mounted on the wall. At 21 inches tall (with the riser removed) and 13 inches deep, it's actually quite similar in size to the RB-81, though it's 6 inches wider. It's an in-between speaker that, IMO, should be considered in this instance due to it's musicality. I second that, I would deff use the heresys as a computer setup, would be top notch!
  17. So I guess the question is, would I be happier with those big 18's, or just stay with my RSW, and hope to find another?
  18. I have been selling some items on ebay from around the house to just thin out my closest for more audio stuff as well. I noticed a charge called a "shipping fee". SO I called ebay, they said it was to encourage sellers to ship for free. I guess buyers were complaining to ebay about high shipping prices, so ebay came back and now charges fees on the fee you charge to ship! CRAZY!!! So if you ship for free, there is no fee. Now when I sell something on ebay, I pay a ebay fee, ebay shipping fee, listing fee (which is waived if you sell less then 50 items per month) and a paypal fee! Gees come on folks, when its all said and done im not really making anything on this!
  19. Its hard to imagine a 18 inch woofer only gets down to 40hz [] Somethings got to give, they use these subs in theaters!
  20. Ok so I have been thinking of getting a pair of KPT-484's, but got some questions. First, my system setup: Yamaha RX-V1500, Carver M-500 powering a pair of KLF-30's, Heresy II center, and RS-10 Surrounds (I know not ideal), and a RSW-15 filling in the low end. So, If I were to get one, or two 484's, how would I hook it up? I was thinking of using the M-500 to run either one or both of the 484's that would be bad *** I think, having 5.2! But not sure about my Yamaha on the controling end of the subs. Would the onboard crossover be enough to really make this work? I thought about going with this kind of crossover, but is it too much for what I want to do? http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/DCX2496.aspx I just need a simple crossover, kind of like what I had in my car. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_20603KX2/Kicker-KX2.html?search=car+crossover I see the specs on the Klipsch site, says it only digs down to 40hz. http://www.klipsch.com/kpt-484 While my RSW-15 gets down loooooww, 19hz. http://www.klipsch.com/rsw-15-subwoofer So am I crazy for wanting more bass? BTW This setup is mainly for movies, and some music but never really needed the sub for music!
  21. Wonder what people thought of these? There is a pair for sale here in my area. They deffinately are well used, woofers and mids painted white, asking $400. What you guys think?
  22. This isnt my first time with KLF's. I had a setup (that my dad now has) of 30's and a C7. Ill never go back to the C7 center, That Heresy center sounds so real, the front channel I think is the most important for surround sound. I will only replace that Heresy when I get the 3rd KLF-30.
  23. Thanks everyone for the compliments, they are very nice to look at! I dont miss the LaScalas right now, to me in this room they never sounded right, no bottom end. But I do miss the top end of them though, seemed to play very easily, effortlessly, if thats even a word! I want to buy a pair of Khorns for my 2 channel setup, one day! [Y] I know for sure if Klipsch were to make a speaker that was a 3 way, like the KLF's were, I would be sold! I agree 2 12" copper woofers would be sweet!
  24. Im still on the lookout for another RSW-15. I love that thing, and 2 of them would just be awesome for home theater! I plan on trying to change my blonde ash to a darker color, to try and match the KLF's better. I am going to use another 30 for a center, whenever I get one!
