  1. Two words. Bigger Soundstage. I have heard both. I have my jubilees set up in a dedicated theater room. Here is my setup: Left and Right Channels: Klipsch Jubilee's with TAD 4002 drivers on top. Top Horns being driven by Mcintosh MC402. Bottom's driven by Crown K2 Center Channel is the Klipsch KPT-4350-MS being driven by Crown XLS2500 in mono Side Channels are Klipsch KPT-1201-T2 being driven by Crown XLS2500 Rear Channels are 2010 Klipsch La Scala's being driven by Mcintosh MC7270 PrePro is the Marantz AV8801 Blu Ray running the movies and SACD is the Oppo 105D Active Crossover for the Left and Right Channels is the Electro Voice DC ONE 2 Klipsch subs Video is the JVC DLA-RS49U Projector Screen is roughly 147 inches.
  2. I don't mind at all demonstrating my Jubilee's. Let me know when would be good for you. Here is what you will be listening to, but I have moved them to a dedicated room now. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo170/ntcrusher/DSC00497.jpg
  3. Guys, I just purchased the 8801 and have a question. Can you set your speaker decibal settings to be different for the input mode you are listening on? I am listening to an external DAC via Sonos via the media player input on the 8801. I ran through the setup and mic test and the speakers are set for movie watching, but when I want to listen to music, I can turn the volume all the way up and it's not at the volume that my amps can push the speakers. Running Mcintosh MC 7270 for the rear 2010 La Scala's. Running Mac MC402 for Jubilee TAD top horn 4002 drivers and Crown K2 for the jube bass bins.
  4. Another qq for you guys. The predrilled holes on the back of the KPT 1201's, what industry standard bracket are they referencing here to mount it with? http://images.klipsch.com/KPT1201_635042125490850000.pdf
  5. I think I know which way to go here but I'm going to fish with everyone again. I need 3 more channels of amplification. 1 for the center 4350ms and 2 for the side channels kpt 1201s. I'm thinking of getting 2 crown xlr2500s but worried about hum and hiss. What do you guys thnk
  6. When you butted the new walls up against the old ... Did you leave the old sheet rock in place? Did you sheet rock the new wall on both sides or just one side? I am asking because I will be doing mine in the next few months. Did you do any noise level testing before and after (measuring from outside the garage? I framed the walls and butted the built walls against the existing drywall. After doing that, I insulated the new walls and then put 2 layers of 1/2 drywall. The first layer went up, then I used the Green Glue and put up the second layer. The only testing I did was with my ears. I will also have to put some door kits on as well. For my walls, I have existing drywall with existing insulation. Then another wall built with insulation again and 2 layers of drywall with green glue in the middle.
  7. I went with the Klipsch KPT 4350 as my center channel. http://images.klipsch.com/36a95f309faf8cc4e182300acdd61a5a_635042153647940000.jpg
  8. Here are some pictures guys. Getting real close now: http://s372.photobucket.com/user/ntcrusher/library/?sort=3&page=1
  9. Just got off the phone with America Cinema Equip. A couple of folks there saying that the KPT 4350-MS would be an awesome fit. Getting some more information on it now.
  10. It's the same thing. Nothing close to where I live. No body wants to ship. If I had my druthers, I would do another 402 horn on top of a la scala base bin with a TAD 4002 driver.
  11. One last note while I'm thinking about it. The jubilee's in my living room has a sound that with my own ears, haven't heard matched. The living room has 8' ceilings. With the theater having 12' ceilings, I think the sound is going to be way better when listening to music (Pink Floyd-Sorrow). Comments welcome of course.
  12. Thank you sir. Been a lot of getting at a little at a time. I can't find another la scala base bin for nothing. If I do find one, it's local pick up only. I know it's only a center channel, but trying to keep a little order in the make up of the front end. Another couple points that may need some direction. I have Mcintosh amps as well. I think I'm going to go with the Marantz 8801 for processing. The Mcintosh 121 is 6K and the Mcintosh 151 is 12K. A little high for me at this point. The Marantz is made by the same folks that own Mcintosh and it has gotten pretty good reviews. So here is the setup. Left and Right Channels are Klipsch Jubilee's with TAD 4002 drivers on the top horns. Mcintosh MC 402 running the top horns while a Crown K2 is running the base bins. Rears are 2010 Klipsch La Scala II's. Mcintosh MC7270 running the La Scala's. Side (Surrounds) I think I'm going with the Klipsch KPT-8-VB's. I need to pick up another amplifier for those guys. Center Channel, I will try and get another La Scala for that. Projector, I'm going with JVC's DLA-RS55U with 4K imaging. Theater will have seating for 8. Screen will be fixed on the wall, so no speakers behind the screen. I'm trying to match the video with the sound. It's close.
  13. Yes, that would work Richard. know where i can get one?
