  1. Looks like it is indeed a secret bidding game. It is like when online retailers say add to cart to see price!
  2. They look great, congradulations
  3. Can't beat that price. Cosmetics do not look like a problem
  4. Thanks guys. I am going to hold out for a while hoping i can make something happen locally. This speaker is in really great shape and sounds really really good. Maybe i need to find another one
  5. I believe they were closed out at 50% msrp, but i am not aure where this leaves your value. Where are you located by the way?
  6. This speaker is nearly flawless. The serial sticker has faded quite a bit though! Not sure how this stayed so pretty while that faded. I see very few, to no blemishes on this. For this reason i am really hopeful for a local pickup. This is timbre matched to the CF-3 and CF-4 but would mate well with the KLF-20, The KLF-30 but i also hear it is a good center for heritage people. Also a pretty rare speaker. Asking $200. I am located in South Bend, Indiana but drive to Grand Rapids Michigan once a month. i will take $300 shipped and packed by UPS or FEDEX.
  7. I used some goo gone in a couple of areas on my very good condition RB-25 speakers. You can not see it unless it hits the light a certain way but then you can see how those spots have now lost their sheen And are inconsistant with the rest of the vinyl. I read somewhere where somebody recommended car wax (across the whole speaker) to bring the shine back. Will this work? Any other ideas?
  8. Person i purchased this from said he bought it from an audio shop 6 years ago. It sounds great but due to a unworking VU meter, i think i am just going to buy an emotiva amp. The good: in good physical shape showing some small wear. It sonically sounds to be functioning perfectly. No hissing from the speakers when nothing is playing and no sounds coming from the unit itself. Both meter lights appear to be functioning fine. The bad: one VU meter does not move hardly at all. The other one appears to be fine but i can not guarantee it. Two screws are missing on the back cover. There is a three inch scratch on the top of the unit (could be sharpied or spray painted to look near perfect). The inside appears to be unmolested but the screws that hold the VU meters in place show a small amount of wear like they have been unscrewed before. Could have been the audio shop the guy bought it from. I am not inclined to mess with these intricate meters. Visually they look fine, not sure what could be wrong with the one. Looking for $100+shipping costs. I am located at 46628
  9. Nice gift! I have found my RF-35s to be a great home theater speakers and sound great for movies. To me they top the RF-82ii, i have seen others express this sentiment. I have ran mine with a pioneer elite sc-77 and now an onkyo tx-sr608 both with great results. I am sure a nice ss preamp and amp would sound great and tubes, possibly even better. Good luck
  10. At that cost, time to learn to make those yourself! They look sweet thouh
  11. Right now i am using a onkyo TX-608 to drive my RF-35 speakers in stereo. Was considering picking up another setup to try out with them and to try with my heresys. Honestly i am 85% movies 15% music. My two options are a used local Parasound P3 Halo preamp and a carver TFM-15cp amplifier. Prices are decent but the cons are the parasound gets mediocre reviews, no sub output and the carver does not have a 12v trigger. The other option is to get a emotiva TA-100 integrated amo that has it all in one package. The nice thing about the original package is i can upgrade the amp in time if that is somehing i want to do. The emotiva comes with a warranty.
  12. That is not a bad idea either. Hmm still thinking things over.
  13. Thanks for the options guys. These are some lovely looking speakers by the way
