  1. thank you John!! i didn't want to give them away but at the same time i knew they have value and just want to be fair it sure is easier to buy stuff than it is to sell stuff lol!!
  2. To give an idea. If any interest please start a conversation and I'll send more puctures
  3. These speakers are in really good shape and sound as you would expect. I love these speakers and have owned them the longest of any gear I've ever owned in my life and have never planned on selling them until last week. I have a chance to get some really nice Klipschorns so I'm selling these to offset the costs. Otherwise I'd be keeping them! They are B stock and have a few small marks on both speakers. I tried taking pictures of them all but I might have missed some. The serial numbers are CW3WL++073500005 and 06. I'm not sure of the dates, it never bothered me so I never looked them up. I do have the original shipping boxes and all the foam inserts. I'd like to get $1900. I'm around 4 hours south of Chicago, 1.5 hours east of St. Louis and 2.5 hours west of Indy. I'll get pictures when I figure out how to make them smaller wheather on my phone or my computer at work tomorrow morning.
  4. i called a local company in my town that sells pools and gaming equipment and to disassemble is only 200 and to move it upstairs another 250. We lucked out and bought a 3200sq ft home right before covid hit with finished basement so I'm thinking i will store the pool table. I will be moving most if not all the record shelves to my current 2 channel listening space so they will all be out of the room. the wing wall is 29" (i assume thats what you meant Marvel) so i would need to add something to get the full effect so the speakers could be closed. the short wall is 16 feet. I'm not completely positive on the ceiling height but i would say its at least 7" or more, i don't think its 8ft.
  5. Dude i experienceed the exact same situation as you when i met Pepper. I thought he was a drunk and arogant prick but at the same time the coolest person ive ever met haha. I've started the conversation with my daughter and her boyfriend to see if they want the pool table. It only gets played on holidays or special occasions when family come over. We bought the house with the table and got a quote to move it 2 years ago it was like 500 to have it mmoved upstairs. Anybody reading need a nice pool table lol! For what it's worth I'd be pushing the khorns with a pair of VRD monoblocks with a Juicy Music Tercel and Merlin
  6. These are all good suggestions and I really appreciate thd feedback. I do plan on moving the records into another room (my current 2 channel listening room) which is a bit smaller. Do you think if I put them on the long wall will I loose any benefits? I guess it's a situation where i give and take because if I put them on them on the short wall I will compromise the bass (the 29" side wall) and on the long wall the sweet spot will be compromised?? The wall on this image is 48" and this is the right hand side on the long wall And there is the option of extending the 29" wall out a bit. The speaker wires arent an issue because the room is storage that we rarely use. Whatever I choose it's going to be a long drawn out process with moving stuff around and naming room.....dam I wish there was an easy button for this
  7. I have a line on a pair of Klipschorns locally and I'm not sure they will work in my room. The size of the room is 22'x16' and the side wall where id place them is 29 inches (see pucture). There is a lot of work to do if I go down this path. The speakers will go in the basement and the pool table will have to come out so I don't really want to half *** it I have decent corners if I put the speakers on the long wall but I have read that setup is not ideal since the sweet spot will be a bit narrow
  8. A few years ago I saw a local Craigslist ad for a SME tonearm. I responded and went to pick it up. The seller was selling the table as is. Basically i was buying the arm and the table was a bonus. When i arrived to the sellers house he showed me that it in fact was somewhat working and a little bummed he didn't check it out and maybe get more money but he was cool and sold it for the agreed price. I didn't really pay attention because i was going to send the table to SOTA to get looked at anyways. I bought a shipping box and got put on a list from SOTA. I was supposed to send it in in last September but got covid pneumonia really really bad and missed my time slot and its been sitting ever since. The table spins and the pump works except the place on the box where you push and pull the fuse in and out is broke. To get it to work you have to hold the fuse in (please see the pictures). Id like to get $2000 for BOTH the arm, table, AND brand new factory shipping box that is around $150 from SOTA. Or id take $600 for the table Or $1600 for the arm If my prices are crazy please message me. I'm selling this and a few other items to buy some tube separates. I don't want to give them away but like everyone I'd like to get market value.
  9. I have decided to reluctantly part ways with my beautiful Sansui receiver. it's really really hard to sell this cause it's so hard to find stuff like this in the wild. I literally got this the same day as I picked up my Mac 2205 and 32v a few years back. Included is the original shipping box with Styrofoam packing plus it even has the plastic that surrounded it in the box. The owners manual and quick reference guide, speaker wire, fuses and rca connectors, and even the am/fm antenna with the cool Sansui logo on the white plastic piece. It's in excellent condition, I wouldn't call it mint but it sure is close. The left channel is very week. I tried a little deoxit with no luck. My plan was to send it away to get it freshened up and see if they could fix the weak channel but you all know how it goes. I wanted to keep this thing forever cause deep down inside I'm a Sansui fan-boy but I'm only selling cause I got bit by the tube bug! Im asking (was $1000) NOW $750 net to me. If you think I'm way out of line please let me know. Since I have the shipping box I'll ship it and double box it. Considering it has everything that originally came with it, I think that's pretty rare in itself.
  10. I bought this integrated amp last September as my very first tube amp. There is a ton of information and as many glowing reviews online. I have nothing to compare it too but all I can say it it made me rethink my entire setup and go ALL in on tubes. I just can't get enough of the tube sound! It can use KT88. EL34, or 6550 tubes and I chose the stock version KT88 that have around 50 hours on them. The only reason I'm selling is to the get enough money to buy tube separates. A rare opportunity presented itself and I need to take advantage of it. I have everything that came with the amp including the original packing so I will ship. Its in almost mint condition. I babbied it and took as many precautions as i could when using it I'd like to get 1000 net to me
  11. Just as the title states. I would prefer Walnut color but its not a deal breaker. I can pay with cash or have stuff to trade. I want to replace my Scansonic MK-5 which are fantastic little speakers but I'm thinking a bigger speaker will suit my needs better
  12. dam seeing my old speakers stings a little haha...I really miss them and should have listen to the forum members to keep them
  13. The record player is in good shape. I got the table from the original owner. It's cover has a crack but you cant feel it from under the lid. Also the back right foot has fallen off. I just sit the table on the foot and it works good. Included is a Shure m97xe that probably has less than 25 hours in it. If I look I think I still have the box and paperwork for the cart. I also have the original owners manual for the table. I will also include the Sonus Dimension 5 cart that I got with the table. I do not know how many hours are on the cart. I am asking $600 and I will not ship the table. I am 3.5 hours south if Chicago, 2.5 hours west of Indy and 2 hours east of St. Louis. I can help deliver within reason for the price of gas.
  14. Yes its still for sale, private message sent
  15. I emailed Shannon Parks and he said he used Cinemag 3440APC and Cinemag CM1254PC
