  1. Very nice in deed! How does these compare to the cornwalls?
  2. What a great day today turned out to be. Got to meet two really cool dudes from this forum who both had awesome gear for me to hear. Tim- Thanks for allowing me to come to your home and demo your Chorus II's with the peach. The peach has found a new loving home for sure I don't see it leaving, really cool of you to let me invade on you today. Sid- Same to you and my ears are still ringing fantastic setup you have man those VRD's are the real deal for sure and I'm sold on them now. Anyway thanks again guys really enjoyed listening to tunes and shooting the sh$!, if your ever down here in my neck of the woods looks me up!
  3. May have to give that one a listen come Sunday
  4. Yep I love mine we use it all the time. Can't wait when Apple releases an app store for it.
  5. I have Heresey II's with the upgraded BC XOVER and Titanium Tweeter diaphrams and they sound fantastic. The video below is of them being ran off my TV and with a SVS sub. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb6DSgQPhZs I also have bone stock Cornwalls that I picked up from a fellow forum member this summer. They sound fantastic and dont need a sub in my opinion. I shot a video of them too. BUT be advised these videos do not do either of these speakers justice!!! I was just fooling around one day and decided to do it.
  6. Bummer dude! I recently hooked up my Heresey II's to just my tv (Pionner PRO-1150HD) and was astonished at how great they sound from just running off the TV no amp/pre nothing. Anyway my wife said the same thing.."I can't hear the difference" but they sure make our living room look ugly! I was just dumbfounded you know the saying woman are from VENUS.... [H]
  7. This was the year that I came back to channel audio, so I started buying CD's again. iTunes is great but I just find CD's sound to be better besides I can always rip it in lossless and keep teh CD for backup. Anyway I picked up a few new CD's this year and I find the one mentioned below to find itself in my CD player the most after purchasing. CD Stone Sour - Audio Secrecy This will not be everyone's "cup of tea" but I find it to be an oustanding listen if you like ROCK!
  8. I have my macbook pro hooked up to my amp, I use the lil apple remote (20 bucks) to control itunes from my chair...works pretty good on my cornwalls with the lossless audio.
  9. Yea u would have to hook the cd player to the front headphone jack via a cable that is provided. If your wanting a tuner I would just bi pass the Dayton and get the Nak TA-2A. You could then use the Nak as a pre amp and hook your amp and CD to it. I recently sold mine because I wanted that Klipsch sound with all my componets. Bad mistake and I bought a very nice receiver but it just didn't sound as good to me as the Nak did. So I bought the lil Dayton to get me through while I refill the audio fund and demo a few different options. Anyway I've heard great things about the H/K 430 too but have never heard it with Heresey. Good luck in your search. Fellow hog! Gotta love it! Wooooo Piggg Soooooie!
  10. I have the latest and greatest Dayton amp. It comes with everything you need. I have my CD player hooked directly to the rear RCA inputs. The speaker connections are banana plugs which come with the amp. It was 100 bucks at partsexpress. Before that I had a Nakamichi TA-2A receiver they can be had on fleabay for around 100 bones too they are a very good receiver I absolutly loved mine. The only reason I didn't buy another is I wanted to try a different setup with my Heresey and Cornwalls. Having said that I can tell you with what I know now I would take the Nak over the lil Dynaco. It just sounded better to my ears. Good Luck!
  11. The TA-2A is a great receiver, I never should have sold the one I had.
  12. WOW you did get a good deal they are 449.00 on his site. What tubes are installed?
  13. Any chance you could post a video? I have Cornwalls that I need to buy an amp and pre for...currently researching what to get. I would love to hear what these amps sound like with Cornwalls.
  14. I have a set of Heresy 2's with the crites upgraded xover and titamnium diaphrams for the tweets. I like the sound very much with or without the sub. I made a quick video of them last week incase you want to get an idea. Keep in mind they are being powered by my TV ONLY and the video was shot with a little flip camera so not the best quality! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb6DSgQPhZs
  15. No problem! If you get the chance you really need to meet these guys, they are so layed back and down to earth...just really cool dudes.
  16. LOL yep that's how it started for me listened to the lil Heresy and had to buy the Cornwalls next....
  17. Check out Comfortable Liar from the Wonder Whats Next CD if you want to test your BASS! El Diablo is a great song.
  18. Dude! Seems your getting closer to getting something put together. Still loving the cornwalls..about to upgrade the Xovers with B-2's. Anyway good luck with your project.
  19. WOW those look fantastic, welcome to the best thing to come from my state! What ya gonna use to run em?
  20. Straight from the man...just FYI for anyone else looking. Jerry, No, the B-3 network is for the later model Cornwall using the K-52H midrange driver. I have never seen anything from Klipsch indicating that the B-3 could be used with earlier configuration Cornwalls. When the B-2 crossover came out, Klipsch did suggest using it in earlier Cornwalls that had used the type B crossovers.
  21. Bob didn't mention in the email that the B-3 would work in my 80 models?
  22. Hi - I'm thinking about replacing my stock crossovers to some Crites. I emailed Bob and he serif I could run B-2's in my 80 cornwalls. He also said he had not heard a side by side comparison between the B and B-2. Has anyone do this? Can you recommend which crossover I should get?
  23. I may make a day trip over there if I don't get many responses....thanks for the invite!
  24. This is a request for any Klipsch owners that wouldn't mind me barging in with a six pack of beer or coke whichever you prefer and listening to your 2 channel setup. I'm close to purchasing my next amp/pre and would really like to demo some vintage tube and SS gear. I "think" I would do well pairing my cornwalls and heresy with some of the early SS Mac units (MC 250, MC 2100, MC 2105, MC 2505) but would also love to hear some tube gear. In addition to the amp/pre I wouldn't mind listening to some Forte's, Chorus or KLF series speakers if you have those. The dates I'm looking at are between Feb 10th-21st. While I lived in Houston I did a similar request and it resulted in me buying my first set of Klipsch Heresy II's! I'll extend the same to anyone that wants to hear Cornwalls or Heresey II's but I only have a small Dayton digital amp at the moment. Anyway any takers?
