  1. Ok I took all the screws off the back around all the wire connections, but the thing isn't budging at all, how do I get this off/out of there?
  2. ok, so I called Klipsch and got an RMA for getting a new amp but I have to send them my old one first. So are there any DIY guides on how to remove the amp? A couple of you have said it's an easy process, I just don't know where to start, please let me know, thanks
  3. Thanks for all the help guys, sorry for the delay. The sub was unplugged, I pulled out the fuse and it was blown (all black inside the glass). I went to RadioShack and got new ones, a pack of 4. (3.15 and 250) With the sub unplugged and put in a new one, closed it up, plugged it in, and turn it on. NOTHING still, no light on the front, no sound pop, nothing. Took out the new fuse and it was now blown too. Tried all 4 of the new ones I bought and they all did the same thing. So what's the next step now? Any thoughts? Thanks!
  4. I'm not sure what all you just said there. No I didn't check the fuse as I don't know how to do that
  5. Yeah, I always turned mine off in the back after I was done using it. So it was off most of the day everyday. Not sure I would know what I was doing once i open it, is it pretty self explaintory? I should mention this as I thought it was weird. After I connected it right in that new apt, I noticed when I would tilt the back end up (to better see the switches and connections) and then put it back down (front legs were always touching the floor) it would make a REALLY loud bass "pop". It had never done that before in the year or so before I moved. And I was so close to it when it did it, it scared the heck out of me and almost hurt my ears it was so loud. No matter how gently I put it back down it would always do this bass pop when I would put it back down from picking up the back end of it.
  6. Hello, I'm new here and not the most technical person so I apologize. Long story short my Sub12 stopped working it won't turn on any more, and I saw on the support page that you need the reciept for the warranty to be vaild, which I don't have so I thought I'd post my problem here and see what people thought. I had my Sub12 for about a year, year and half in Jan of 09. I moved to a new apt in Jan 09 and the walls were thinner so I had my sub turned way down, well I didn't realize till I did calibration test on my reciever in June 09 that I had plugged the sub into the wrong port on the receiver and it had not be tranmitting any sound for those 6 months! Yeah I know, I felt pretty stupid. So I hooked it up right and it worked great as it did before I moved. Then about Oct/Nov 09 it just stopped working, it won't turn on now. I though it was the surge protector at first but everything on it works, I tried numerous outlets and it won't come on, the light isn't on at all (not blue, nor red with auto-on on) and nothing comes out of it. I just moved to a new state at the end of Dec09 and just getting all settled and bought my first house and I'd really love to use this and don't want to have to buy a whole new one. Because the most annouying thing about all of this is I have the thing about 2 and half years and it already broke? and the warranty says like 5yrs! Needless to say I'm pretty ticked but if there is a way I can fix and not have to drop $450-500 on a new one would be great. Thanks!
