Thanks for the advice! So I remove the speaker from the front of the cabinet, disconect the wires and look for a reading of ? Ohms.

I checked each one of the 8" speakers and they all seem to be working. I gently touched the center part of them while they were on and I felt vibration. Is there something else I should do to check them?

I just picked up a pair of kg 4s. I have never heard a pair before, but I have heard that they should sound pretty good. They do seem to have a great clear sound but the bass seems to be missing. Even when I turn bass up and he treble down it seems weak and worse in one speaker than the other. To the untrained eye all of the speakers appear to be in decent shape. Is this a crossover issue? I think the speakers are from 1984.
