  1. jhawk, You have the setup I always wanted.... Chorus IIs on the front and Forte IIs on the rear..... I have a set of Paradigm bookshelfs on the rear and they just get drowned out... and if I want to crank it up, I have to shut the rear off or lose the speakers. PS. The Paradigms were my first set as your Forte's were yours.
  2. Great review Sean.... When I first heard the Forte II at a co-workers house, I knew I had to have them. Then I made the mistake of walking into the Klipsch showroom to look at the Forte's. The Chorus IIs came home with me $1500 later. That was in 1991. I've had them since. Unfortunately, I don't utilize them to their potential very often anymore, so I am seriously contemplating a sale so that I can purchase an electric guitar and amp. It will be a hard decision, as these are the best normal home-sized speakers that I have ever heard. I'm not sure I really want to give them up, so the selling price will reflect that.
  3. I got all excited when the FedEx package from Klipsch came[]......... then I opened it and found diaphragms for something other than my tweeters[:'(]. Looks like midrange diaphragms. I need to return them and try again.
  4. Thanks all for the input..... Dead tweeter open, good tweeter 8.4 ohms. Good tweeter works in other speaker. $59.68 to replace both diaphragms as they ARE poly. About 2 weeks turnaround. Piece of cake to make the repair. Thanks again.
  5. Howdy, I've had my Chorus II's brand new since 1992. One of the tweeters has stopped working. Just looking for any input on possible causes, repair costs or ease of self repair. No obvious indications of loose connections or broken wires inside. What kind of voltage and or resistance readings should I get at the crossover or tweeter. Guess I could dig into the other speaker and take some readings. Thanks.
  6. I have a set of Chorus II's that I purchased in 1992.... (excellent speakers by the way)... Anyhow, I matched them against a set of Paradigm Titan bookshelf speakers that I had... not a good match for surround sound (Paradigm's too power hungry and Chorus II's too efficient) but OK for A/B channel music. Anyone have any suggestions on a set of bookshelf Klipsch speakers that would be compatible with the Chorus II's for surround sound??? I would love to purchase Klipsch's surround sound package, but now that I'm married with 2 children, it's not in the budget. Thanks for any assistance.
