  1. Does anyone here use a Klipsch center with speakers from a different company for your front right and lefts? I know it is important to timber match (and know that Klipsch sound different than most other brands), but I am curious if anyone has matched with sucess. Thanks.
  2. I am a newbie trying to buy my first ever 5.1 surround system for a family room. I have always loved the sound of Klipsch (the only speakers I have ever owned were a pair of Heresys that I bought 24 years ago). My problem, however, is that my room requires that my center be no taller than 5.5 inches. From what I can tell, the RC-10 would be the best Klipsch choice for me. I realize that I will be sacrificing by not getting a bigger center, but I have no other choice. My questions are: 1. Is the RC-10 made just like the RC-52, but with just smaller woofers? Do they have the same horn tweeter? 2. I will need small bookshelf speakers as my fronts. If I get the RC-10, can I go with either the RB-10 or RB-51s or are the RB-10's a better match? 3. Are there particular stands that are best suited for the RB-10 or RB-51s? THANKS.
  3. I am getting ready to buy my first 5.1 system and leaning toward buying all my speakers from the Klipsch Reference series. I would be choosing Klipsch because I grew up with a pair of Heresy speakers and have always loved and appreciated the horn sound and the efficiency of Klipsch speakers. As it has been more than 20 years since I purchased speakers, I have not heard speakers currently available from other manufacturers and have nowhere to audition speakers other than Best Buy. This got me wondering as to what brands of speakers others here auditioned or upgraded from and decided that they liked Klipsch better. My system will be used exclusively for tv and movies and so my main interest is getting speakers that will give me the clearest dialogue possible. Thus, I would especially like to hear from people who compared other speakers and concluded that dialogue was clearer from the particular Klipsch speaker they purchased. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the responses. Can you tell me why the RC-62 is a much better choice than the RC-52? Does the bigger woofer make that big of a difference (I think they use the same tweeter)? As I would like to get the clearest dialogue possible for tv and movies (not using this for music), will the RC-62 make a meaningful difference? Thanks again.
  5. I am a newbie to surround sound, but have read enough to know that voice matching at least your 3 front speakers is very important. I therefore realize that the RC-62 is the ideal match for the RF-62s and the RC-52 is the ideal match or the RF-52s. However, if you had to choose and had to use the RC-52, would you prefer to use the RF-52s or the RF-62s? Assume no upgrading in the future is possible and assume this will be your system for next 5 years. Also assume a fairly large room with high ceilings and assume this is 99% for tv and movies. Which would be more preferable with the RC-52 - - the perfectly matched RF-52s or the better RF-62s? Thanks!
