  1. Once I see these in person all will be decided. Hoping they look and sound decent.
  2. Thanks Frzninvt. I was just looking up the serial #'s etc. and how common that particular finish is. Found a really helpful guide. https://2d73e25b29782b6d6766-9c8af5cbfef16739445bc76457060528.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/Codex_V3_130823_635128700889860000.pdf
  3. Do you think it would be worth while to put a veneer on them?
  4. What would be the reason this version is so much less expensive than the newer models? Better components?
  5. I have been approached to buy a pair of Klipsch Cornwall's from the 70's. They do not appear to have any veneer, or be unfinished. I have no experience with vintage speakers and I would like to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Guy is asking $700 for the pair. Any advice for a newbie who really wants a pair of old-school speakers?
  6. Selling my RS-7 Rears. Figured other Klipsch-o-philes might want first grabs. I have a CL ad up that I will leave a link for. Asking $300 OBO. Local pick up would benefit anyone interested, these beasts weigh almost 25 lbs each. Solid 7.5/8 out of 10 physically. Feel free to email or call me. 7. I am moving soon and cannot accomdate my current setup where I will be living. I have detailed what if anything is wrong cosmetically with each peice, they all work and sound fantastic. I am asking $2500.00 for the entire set and would prefer local pickup here in San Antonio, Texas due to the weight and difficulty of shipping these beasts. I have some of the origial packaging, all documentation for each peice and can provide images of each if you have a serious inquiry. Would love to see these go to a great home, happy hunting. 8. The front of my RC-7 center channel has fallen off, I think due to the fact that my amp sits below, and radiates heat upward through a glass shelf. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? As best I can tell the glue bonding the face element of the speaker to the enclousre itself heated up and allowed the speaker element to fall off. On another note I could now use a a new grill for this speaker, when the face came off it broke all the pegs from the grill. I know it is discontinued and they are no longer being made, anyone have one they would be willing to sell? Thanks, Nick
  9. I have a pair of Klipsch RB5-II's any suggestions for a good looking set of speaker stands?
  10. I live in a small apartment, I listen to alot of rock/metal/doom stuff and with the proximity to neighbors I listen at a fairly mild level comapred to what I would have used back home in my old house and my RF-7's. As for budget what should I realistically be looking at?
  11. Sorry I'm so slow on the responses guys, I just knocked out a 26 hour drive to California, packing and the much needed sleep afterwards took up a few days. I'm doing my best toget through all the replies and digest what is being said. As for a budget, I was thinking $1500.00 but that seems to be a little under the mark for this type of investment. Much thanks again!
  12. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I'll be looking into these options shortly and pricing things out.
  13. I have a pair of Rb-5 II's powered by a Denon AVR-3805. Not sure about all I need to get a decent sounding setup running and what the rough costs will be. Looking for some suggestions por favor! []
  14. I recently moved, and had to leave my beloved RF-7's at home. My sister and her BF took them out of storage and hooked them up, after removing the grills one of their dogs knocked in the dust cover on one of the mains. I'm more than a little upset, is there a fix for this or a replacement that is inexpensive? Also they managed to destroy the pegs on the grills, any suggestions for replacements? Much thanks, NMB
