I purchased these along with my ifi iDSD setup for work and for travel about two years ago. I mostly listen to my Grado's since travel is minimal and I work from home. I don't always believe in tweaks, but it was no contest for these IEM's. 2. Bump for the new week, hope you all had a Blessed Easter!
  3. Carl, If it's really worth it to you, I will consider shipping at cost. I've personally had poor experience shipping Drivers without the original boxes, which is my only reason for the above. My neighbor works for FedEx so I might be able to get a deal for you on pricing (cant make any promises). He's on vacation in the FL Keys though so it might be a week or so before I can get you a quote. In that Vein, if you want it ASAP and are okay having the carrier package the driver, let me know and I'll take it down to shipper of your choice for an actual shipping estimate. Cheers
  4. Greetings all Another baby was born! So planned HT room is now turning into a play place, and listening sessions are switching gears to cans (Klipsch HP-3s here we come!). All items are located in Milwaukee, WI area. Some items will ship at cost to buyers - see descriptions below for what I will or won't ship. For pictures I have added my Craigslist Postings for each below which includes individual photos of all items due to MB Limitations here. 5. Hi all! I have a Krell Showcase 7.1 Processor available for sale. I purchased it with the hopes to hold onto it until I build a HT system, but being that we'll be apartment dwellers for a while longer yet, I've decided to sell it. It's in excellent condition. No major defects (dents, dings etc.) but does have some very minor scratches on the front left corner. I haven't tested every single input (there are a plethera), but I have not come across anything that hasn't worked 100%. Own a great Krell piece! The functions are awesome. I do not have the original remote but i have a Redi-Mote replacement programmed specifically to this model that will be included as well as a 12ga power cable. $650 plus shipping. Located in Mequon, WI (Milwaukee Area) Please PM with any questions!
  6. Greetings guys, Chicago seems to be popping up from pretty K-horns lately at pretty good deals.. Again, I have no affiliation with the guy, and haven't even contacted him if theyre still available (add went up 4 days ago). But he's asking a good price on a good looking pair of Khorns! Here's the add http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/ele/5291961159.html Thought maybe one of you gents who can fit a pair might appreciate it.
  7. No affiliation guys, but I spotted these in CL but I have no time or space to go after myself. But it looks like an awesome deal on a pair of Khorns that APPEAR to be in great condition? Someone check these out! http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/ele/5201452320.html
  8. Bump, KM-6's and Yamaha MX1000U are both sold
  9. I hope my not breaking any forum rules through this thread, but a fellow member gave me a great idea of seeing if any of you folks might want to go halvesies with me on this set of Threshold T200 amp and T2 pre. I've been on the hunt for a Threshold T2 for a couple years but I always miss it. I spoke with the owner and he doesn't want to split the set. I was wondering if there are any Threshold lovers around here who might want the T200 amp? I'll go halvsies and buy the T2! I'm located in Watertown WI about an hour west of Milwaukee. Anyone interested in a nice Threshold amp? http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/ele/5050522304.html NO AFFILIATION
  10. I am willing to ship the yamaha preamp, but not the speakers and subs. Sorry it's just too much of a hassle at this time with a wedding coming up and busy work weeks! If anything changes I will let you know through this thread.
  11. LOCATED IN WATERTOWN WISCONSIN (Between Milwaukee and Madison) Yamaha MX-1000U SOLD Yamaha CX-800U - $150 Klipsch KM-6 SOLD Definitive Technology Powerfield 18 - $350 Infinity HPS-1000 (Upgraded to RSW-15 driver) - $350 SOLD the MX1000U, and KM-6's. STILL HAVE a Definitive Technology Powerfield 18 subwoofer in Satin Black. The Def Tech PF 18 is a monster , and nails some of the lowest frequencies with ease while getting extremely loud on only 500 watts. Has full phase, volume, and x-over controls on the back with both low and high-level inputs. It is in great condition with some scratches here and there, but nothing bad at all. Asking $400 $350 for the Definitive Technology PF18 The subwoofer grill could use a little extra glue on the back to tighten it up a bit, but I could do this for you even if you would like. The KM-6's in the pictures have sold I also have a Yamaha CX-800U preamp. It has some blemishes, it is missing the power button on the front, which can be acquired through legendaryamps.com I believe. You can still push in the button to power on and off, its just a purely aesthetics thing. It has a couple scratches on the body, but overall in good condition cosmetically. It's fully functional and sounds very good! Features "Source Direct" option which allows input signal to bypass all circuitry except the volume control so you get the shortest path possible for your music source. The CX-800U is also very quiet when you want to use it to alter the sound with tone controls, balance and loudness knob. it is equipped with gold plated RCA input jacks on the rear panel with connections for phono, CD, tuner, DAT, tape, CDV, VCR1, VCR2 and the pre out to power amplifier. A front panel door allows access to tone controls, stereo/mono switch, subsonic filter switch, record out selector switch and phono type selector switch. Tone control is provided with four knobs. Two knobs for bass: a turnover frequency selection knob and a level control knob. The other two tone control knobs are for treble: turnover frequency selection knob and level control knob. The phono selector switch supports MM 1k ohm, 47k ohm/330 pF, 47k ohm/200 pF and MC 1k ohm, 100 ohm or 10 ohm cartridges. Additional controls on the front panel are for input selection, mute, phase invert, source direct, balance, loudness, volume and power. I don't have the original remote, but I have a replacement remote that performs all the functions apart from a mute button, which the replacement remote does not have. Asking $200 $150 I also have an Infinity HPS-1000 Subwoofer. The sub has a 1000 watt amp, a down firing 15" active driver and 2 15" passive radiators. This guy extends deep and with authority. It has some scratches here and there, its not perfect, but is in overall good condition cosmetically, and is 100% functional. It has high and low-level inputs on the back and a detachable power cord. This is a monster at nearly 100 lbs so make sure you have a friend to help you unload it. The original driver in these units have been known to go out, as mine did on low listening levels, so I upgraded the sub with the driver from the Klipsch RSW-15 driver, and it slams. Asking $400 $350, IDK if you can find a much better sub for this price, it really is a good one If you have any questions write me a PM, shoot me a text, or give me a call at nine two zero - 285 - eight nine zero zero Thanks guys!
  12. Sorry, I added location to original post. It is in Watertown, WI. 53094
  13. I'll be getting back into tubes some day, no doubt about it!
  14. Used a poly brush for the clear coat (6 coats). not familiar with the spray on clear coat? I'll have to look into that. One day, there's not doubt I'll miss these guys... But getting married this summer and owning 5 some sets of speakers, and moving into a small 2 bedroom apartment, I gotta cut it down to 1! And I've decided to stick with my B&W 803N's... Plus down the road, I really wouldn't mind doing this again! Or even building from scratch. I had a lot of fun with this project, but for now, I'll let someone else enjoy them
  15. I have for sale a lightly used (about 20 hours) Yaqin MS-20L integrated tube amp with remote for sale in excellent condition. The MS-20L will come with all original tubes, packaging, remote, and manual. One thing to note, I used a pair of RCA's that had a little too firm of grip on the connectors, and one of the gold plated connectors for AUX1 came a little loose on the back... It has been reattached, tested, and works fully, but worth noting. This amp was my first tube gear, and I sure enjoyed it... It was used in a bedroom system which was rarely used at all. But it wasn't til about a month or so later I found a pair of Threshold Sa/6e monos and they sucked up all my listening sessions. I'm getting married in July and my fiance isn't too excited about my abundance of audio gear... So this is one of my units to go Asking $450 (plus shipping) Amp is located in Watertown, WI about half way between Madison and Milwaukee I will post pictures when I can. I am currently away at school, but will be back in a couple weeks and can take pictures. If anyone would like to come see it locally, my father would be glad to show it to you. It can be auditioned on a pair of B&W 803N (less efficient for low-power tube gear), Upraded Klipsch Cornwall's, or Polk RTA-15TL's,
  16. Thanks for the encouragement! Not in a huge hurry to sell, and since I listed them I have since hooked them up in my main system in chance that someone would like to come audition them. I enjoy listening to them in the mean time. I prefer the mids and highs of the B&W's, but man do the b&w's miss the chest slam and volume capabilities of Cornwalls. I'm always a little nervous about cranking the 803's too loud, but with these... I know my ears will blow before these do. As for your lll's, I'd love to hear the lll's some day! an A/B comparison would be very interesting. It's too bad about the Damage to the corners. In case you're interested, what I used for all the wholes and dings in these when I refinished them was minwax wood filler. It worked wonders! couldn't believe how well actually. Here's a link to the stuff. http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/maintenance-repair/minwax-high-performance-wood-filler it's one of the cheaper ones, but works fantastic. Just carefully stuff it in tight to the dings/dents/holes etc, and then sand it down. it sands pretty easily and you can get a perfectly flush finish. Just a thought.
  17. UPDATE* $1200 plus original woofers, crossovers, speakers cales, and binding posts included.
  18. There is an easier biding post to use from PE. Same basic idea of a 5-way with very stout post (that will accept 12 gauge wire or dual banana plugs), requires only one hole to be drilled in back, simple installation. There is a type where you buy two posts that you drive into holes in the cabinet. I'll look up the part number. 901-1245 There are indeed, there are so many nice quality binding posts out on the market from Parts-Express and many other sites. I went with these because I was looking for something large and when I received these from PE I was blown away at their size and solid construction. Some may prefer smaller binding posts, but from such large speakers I think they fit the bill well. But to each his own!
  19. These are NOT cornwall 11's Y is for 1983 Cornwall 11's didn't come out till late 1985 the pictures are so easy to tell the difference between the 1's and 11's. the backs don't come off the 11's and all the componets are front mounted Good to know! If this is indeed correct then these are Cornwall l's.
