  1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix I have the complete series. Watching them slowly over the years.
  2. I don't hear any squeaky sound. I do hear distortions. I used to have a squeaky Rythmik subwoofer that is caused by damaged port due to shipping.
  3. Since the Heresy III is designed to be placed on the floor, how's the vertical soundstage? Does everything sound "lower"? I'm planning to get one as a center speaker for home theater. When placed on the floor, how's the dialogue reproduction? Will it sound as if it's coming from below the screen? What's the angle dispersion of the horn?
  4. My room is 15'x25x9'. My listening distance is about 12 feet. I guess the RF82 isn't enough.
  5. Has anyone heard the RB-81ii before? http://www.avsforum.com/t/1387083/list-of-reference-level-high-sensitivity-spl-speakers RB81 makes into the list ^.
  6. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll check out the KL650.
  7. I'm using Klipsch Synergy B3 and C2 as LCR, with S2 & B3 for surrounds...making my 7.1 setup. All driven from Denon 3312 AVR. I normally play my movies at -10dB. I would like to go higher (-5 or 0dB if possible) but I'm worried about my AVR limit as it's 7-ch driven. I don't know if it's the limit of these bookshelf speaker woofer/tweeter capability or it is screaming for more power. Should I spend the money on external amp? I'm thinking of Crown XLS2000 DriveCore amps for the LCR. or Should I spend the money by upgrading my speaker to the Reference series which are more sensitive and sound better at loud volumes? I'm looking at RF82ii or KL650THX. Do you dare to run your Synergy bookshelf speakers to reference level? Please advise.
  8. If only Klipsch has 8 inchers for Reference Center, it'll be a killer. What was Klipsch thinking? Those were the days...KLF-C7....damn.
  9. Conflicting idea here: they are extremely different! Totally different sound in my opinion. Not even close to the clarity at high volumes May I know what level do you consider high volume? Is -10dB consider high? Can the Synergy F1 be played at -10dB master volume cleanly? Or gotta step to to the reference? I'm now using Synergy B3. Will upgrading to RB81 be a night and day difference?
  10. You're saying that for music, the midrange driver shouldn't be too big? Will 8 incher pose a problem? JTR speakers (212HT and 228) have 12 inchers & 8 inchers...and everyone loves them for movies and music.
  11. May I know what is the normal master volume leve lon your AVR while you're watching movie? -10dB? -20dB? You're not going to get strong mid bass if you watch movie at -20dB. To get the strong midbass punch, the mid bass level has to be loud. Mid bass is from 60Hz to 100Hz. If you want stronger mid bass, you can use an equalizer and bump up the mid bass region...or just run your subwoofer hotter by +5dB. This means: AVR master volume of -10dB and a +5dB hotter subwoofer. Do reply with your feedback about this volume level.
  12. Do you guys use Audyssey with your Klipsch speakers? What's the speaker level trim that Audyssey has given to your setup? Close to -12dB? If it's at the extreme range (-12dB), do you bother to fix it by adding attenuator if you're on external amplification? On Denon and Onkyo (which use Audyssey), the lowest trim level limit is -12dB (which is not low enough for sensitive speaker). How about Yamaha's YPAO & Pioneer's MCACC? How low can they go?
  13. You should not worry about that. High temperature (100F) is the norm in Asian countries near the equator.
  14. The S2 is currently used as side surround. The problem is that I can't find any used F2 in my country Malaysia
  15. Currently I have a set of 5.1 setup: Klipsch Synergy B3, C2, S2 & SW-450. I am planning to upgrade my fronts to F2 and use the B3 as rear surround. Unluckily, the F2 is out of phase, the replacement being the F20. I am wondering will the newer Synergy series timber match with the older series. Any thoughts?
  16. Bass stronger than Cloverfield?
