ok thanks I will start reading the manual and I also had a question about connecting my dvd/cd player should i use the rca (red/white) cable connections or the digital coaxial cable connection? does one produce better sound?

Ok it took awhile but I got everything hooked up and was able to play some of my favorite tracks: the killers, Micheal Jackson, and some Journey! and boy am I impressed with the sound! (maybe because I havent heard better speakers or have been around B.O.S.E too much[]) I understand there are better speakers but for now my ears are satisfied! I do however need to configure the reciever there is also the advanced audio enhancer which improves ipod mp3's should I use that setting? my mp3's are 320kps which I figured is pretty good but will the audio enhancer improve the sound even more?

I have recieved my Klipsch RF-10's, Klipsch KSW-10 subwoofer, and a Pioneer VSX-520-K reciever yesterday which arrived quickly after choosing quick shipping from amazon.com. I am currently in the process of unpacking,placing, and wiring/configuring the components, but when I am done I will update you guys with my first impressions. Here in tampa there doesnt seem to be much of anything on Klipsch products on craigslist.

Thanks for the advice skonopa, I was thinking the same thing about not wanting the biggest thing in sound, right now just looking for a decent sound system from my budget and a great jump from my B.O.S.E which I think the RF-10's should deliver that

thanks I understand your point the reason I seem in a hurry is because school starts soon and wont have the time for research and going to other peoples homes to buy audio equipment on Craigslist is not something my parents would want me doing.

I used to have a BOSE (Bad Overall Sound Equipment) 321 GS htib and was not impressed with the sound for $1000 so I sold it and decided to start a new home theater. Will the RF-10s be significantly better than the Bose system or other htib systems?

I am not trying to expect audiophile quality or something like that I am just trying to get sound that is exceptionaly better than a htib, I used to have a Bose 321 GS system to me it dident sound that great for $999 and I sold it and decided to start a new home theater. Will the RF-10 be a significant jump from the bose system or other htib's?

I am just new to the audio universe (heck Im only 17!) and thought this website would be good for advice from people like you with experince with Klipsch speakers. My budget is only $600-700 and I think I can get an affordable but "well-worth the money" 2.1 system for music. I am also not looking for something exceptional but I am expecting something better than high end computer, stereo speakers.

I am new to the audio universe and wish to start a simple home theater setup consisting of only a reciever, sub, and floorstanding speakers( I will buy surround and center speakers later on) and have a budget of only $600-700 and am debating on what components to buy. All I want is to experince quality sound for music for right now and I thought these speakers would give me that is there a reason you would want me to upgrade them to better ones, because I thought they are a steal for $129 each! and they are refrence quality are they not?
