  1. well then...sell me your f3's for $200! lol but seriously sell them to me.
  2. I can get a set of 1 year old F3's in mint condition for $425 if I pick up but they are 3 hours from my house. Or I can buy a brand new pair from newegg for $570 shipped to my door. If I could get the guy down to $375 do you think this is a good deal? 99% HT use. The guy also doesn't have the boxes anymore which worries me a little for future moves or a possible sale down the road. What deal should I go for?
  3. anyone ever heard the paradigm dsp 3400?
  4. wow...just checked those subs out. 15 inch 500 watt! Can't wait for your review on that one. 18hz too.
  5. you don't need the "y" adapter. Just run it to the left or right channel.
  6. Thanks for all the help. If you had to pick which one would you go with? I was thinking about the sub-12 cause it can be had for $280 but just not sure how good it is.
  7. 1. My room is 10.5 x 17 2. 95% movies and video games 3. Size is not an issue. I have a nice area in the corner and actually I prefer bigger to add to the coolness factor! 4. Massachusetts 5. I have looked in craigslist but since I don't know most of whats out there I don't know what is a good sub nor do I know what is a good price. 6. I am willing to buy new. I have looked at SVS...the issue with them is their availability for purchase (unless you buy right from them) and the cheapest one they sell is $600. I have no experience with the other brands you mentioned. (hsu, velodyne, or epik)
  8. Anyone looking to unload an old rc 64 when their new one arrive let me know. I'll be happy to give it a new home!
  9. I am looking for a subwoofer. Can anyone give me some ideas in the $400 range? Thanks
  10. I have the c3 and f2's I am trying to buy some f3's as well as soon as I find a good deal. I have the Onkyo Tx sr608 right now and it is nice and powerful. Being THX certified it also has a standard to live up to as far as rated wattage goes and therefor the numbers given by Onkyo can be trusted to be accurate. When I get the f3's I am going to purchase an external amp as well to get the 150 watts per channel for the f3's and the c3. I got the Onkyo tx sr608 for $329 at newegg. Have not seen it that low since but I have seen it at assesories4less refurbed for $350.
  11. sorry about the vagueness of the dog door post. I was commenting on a picture Pronex put up of his HT room. There is asmall cat or dog swinging door in his door.
  12. I wouldn't call any Carada screen "best bang for your buck". Homemade screens can be had for 15% the price and the quality is up there with any Carada screen. I would say (this is a comparison of my brothers Carada screen) my home made screen is a 9.5 to his 10 and it was $40 total compared to his $600.
  13. So are you running the f1's as well now or did you sell them? I currently have the f2's and can get a killer deal on some f3's. I was thinking about running all four speakers together with my c3. Wonder if that would be overkill?
  14. I am looking for a 3-5 inch mini exhaust fan that is ac powered. I want to install it in the back of my projector cabinet to help remove heat. The only problem is everything I see is DC powered. Does anyone use anything like this for heat removal in their equipment cabinets? Anyone know where I could find one? or who may make them? Thanks
  15. I can see the little Pro media 2.1's hiding in there!
  16. Love that dog door! lol we have 2 in our room. One at the top of the basement stairs and I in the wall under the stairs leading to the basement! They work great.
  17. I bought these about 3 years ago now sight unseen off ebay. I had no prior knowledge of klipsch or any of their products. I paid $60 shipped for the set pro media's. I thought at the time (after reading some reviews) that they would sound pretty good and that $60 was a great deal. Man was I ever right. These speakers have single handedly turned me into a monster klipsch fan. I am still not into the "big boys" (read highend klipsch) as I don't have the money to get there. However I have purchased a few lower end klipsch products along the way the last 3 years. Never once have I been disappointed. Never once. I still have that pro media set. It was first used in my office for some light music and gaming. Then they made there way into a larger gaming room and were used for computer gaming only. Then they sat in the basement for about 1 year until I once again had a place for them. Never once did I even think about selling them. I have heard alot of people having issues with the subwoofer connections but I have had no such problems. Finally after about 1 year in the basement I found a new place for them....they are now safe and secure in my bedroom plugged into the headphones outlet on the TV. Obviously it was a dramatic improvement in sound over the TV speakers. Mostly I'm just happy for the 2.1's. They finally have a new place to call home.
  18. I have a home theatre room that is 10.5 x 17 feet. the seating is about 8 feet from the screen and front speakers. What size center would you recomend for a set up such as that? I am looking at F2's and rf 52's for the front but I am stuck on which center to buy. The 52 is a better overall size for my smallish room. But I assume that the 62 and the 64 are going to be better sounding right? I have heard the 52 and 62 but not the 64. They seem similar as I will only be pushing 100 watts to it no matter which one I get. The pricing at least for what I have seen so far is as follows: 1. RC-52 brand new for $280 2. RC-62 brand new $340 3. RC-64 used but great condition for $500 In my room with the amount of power I will be supplying what would be the better choice?
