All they do is protect the voice coil from dust.

She's not going to guess, she's hoping they'll be released soon so she doesn't have to keep hearing all the whining going on around here

Here's a little trick I learned, place the sub where you are going to sit then walk around the room until you find the "sweetspot" this will mark the place where you should put the sub. Hope this helps.

Check Radio Shack.

Justin, That doesn't have anything to do with speaker wire. Brain fart

My Leadtek GeForce3 came with a DVD player so I assume other graphic cards will also, if not someone will know where to get Windvd 3.0 DTS. If your building a new system get a DVD interally, you won't notice a difference in picture quality and it would be a hell of alot easier to configure than using a HT player.

Approx. $400 US

Ever considered returning the 4.1s and getting the 5.1s when they come out this month. Since you went all out on the comp.why not the computer speakers
-
Buy the way thats at smokin' system, it shouldn't be obsolite for at least 6 months haha just kiddin'
-
For starters who is building your computer and next what graphics card is in it. Most of the time you'll have a software or hardware dvd decoader/player bundled in the system. My system has a Leadtek Geforce3 with a WinfastDVD player.
-
My Geforce3 came with WinfastDVD Software, is this a good player or should I try to find another. It does offer AC3 playback but not DTS like the WinDVD 3.0 I've been hearing about. Thanx in advance

Dell & Gateway are too expensive, I just bought a new computer at www.buyabs.com Don't know what your budget is but I got a AMD T-Bird 1.33ghz, 512mb 2100 DDR, 60 gig HD, Leadtek Geforce3 64 mb DDR, Plextor 16x10x40 CDRW, 16x A-open DVD, SB LIVE 5.1 Plat. w/Livedrive IR and then some for under $1900. You can't get this set-up at Dell and @ Gateway your looking at at least $2500. ABS computers are award winning just look in PC World mag. Hope this helps? You can also get full bundles Mon,printer etc. check it out you won't be sorry. By the way I'm on the other side of the coin, I got the computer but no speakers, waiting on the 5.1s.

Thanx Amy, I sure hope so.
-
Could you at least provide us the month the 5.1 come out. Thanx

Maybe it should read 7 more weeks. I'm growing very impatient and I might just do something stupid.
-
Go with the 5s even if you only listen to music, it's nice to know you can watch DVDs and have a center channel when you need it
-
My motto, the more speakers the better. can't wait for the 5s. got a new speed demon computer, a very large display and old Labtec speakers??? I'm ready for some soundddddd. Later.
