There is a slider in the front of the monitor. All you have to do to switch between the two is move the slider accordingly. Simple.

I happen to have the Sony G500. I love this monitor. It has 2 inputs in the back. There's the standard HD15 and the BNC. I use the BNC connectors as they give, in my opinion, a more clear and more crisp picture. What's even more greater is that you can select between the two inputs on-the-fly. So, let's say, if you wanted to hook up a Sega Dreamcast or Sony Playstation2, or another PC for that matter, on said monitor via the HD15 input you can easily switch back and forth.
