Well again, we have a difference of opinions. Knowing english and understanding it are two different things. For example, if I were to write: Write the general form of a second-order homogeneous linear differential equation with constant coefficients Would you understand it? Depending on your background in math, you may completely understand it. However, if you don't have a strong mathematical background you may only know a few of those words. The english above was perfect, but the understanding of it depends on the one reading it. However, to help clearify: The speakers sound: 1.) Bright 2.) Harsh 3.) Not Full 4.) A good description may be that the speakers sound as though a blanket is covering them. Oldtimer, if you represent the Klipsch community with your arrogant responses I do not think I will be posting here any longer. I would like to say thank you to dtel for a courteous and helpful response.

The Chorus are not as clear or as full sounding as the Infinity RS2.5's I have. On the Chorus the tweeters and the midrange don't sound much different between one another. To me the Chorus just don't have the separation that the Infinity's do. They are also on the bright side and can sound a bit harsh at times. Thanks.

Perfectly is a relative term, I've never owned Klipsch and I have never heard klipsch speakers before. The speakers do work. They do not rattle, all of the speakers work, and there are no unusual sounds coming from the speakers. However, to me they don't sound good. Now that could mean two things: 1.) I'm not used to Klipsch horns 2.) The speakers may need some work. Now, without ever hearing Klipsch speakers how could I discern which of the two above it is? Lets say that I'm not used to or don't care for the sound of Klipsch horns, then it could be both, that they don't sound good to me and are working perfectly, capische? Thanks for the response []

dtel, thanks so much for the response. My other speakers are Infinity RS2.5's and it may be the horn sound that I'm just not used to. The klipsch sound on the bright side to me and in my opinion they aren't as rich and full sounding as the Infinity's. However, there are some songs that sound great on them. How much does placement affect the sound? Right now I have them right up against a wall, not in a corner. If you were to upgrade components on them would you do the crossovers or the titanium tweeter mod by Bob Crites first? Thanks again.

Thanks, I suppose I could do that, but I would like to make them work in my system if I could. I've never had horns and I'm not sure they are workng correctly. For whatever reason I'm not liking the way they sound right now. I'm trying to figure out if upgrading the parts that have gotten old would help. However, if I can't get them to sound to my liking I would like to know about how much they are worth.

Hello Everyone, This is my first post here and I have a question about the value of my Klipsch Chorus I oiled oak speakers. The speakers are a 9.5/10 in condition and they work perfectly. According to the serial number they were made around 1987. About how much should I ask for them? I got these speakers recently and I'm playing them through a McIntosh MC2205 and I don't like the way they sound. I've listened to them for about two weeks and to me they don't sound as good as the other speakers I have had. Do you need to change the crossovers? Is there anything I should do to update them that may improve the sound? Do the diaphragms get old over time? They have never had anything done to them. Eventually I'm going to play them through a Harman Kardon Citation V or Citation II. Thanks in advance for the advice.
