Jealous of the the lucky son of a gun that gets these.....

Honestly, for a matching cherry set, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. And the math of 1200 for the 83s and 800 for the 64, sounds pretty close to $2000 to me! I'd love to have that set and wouldn't feel bad about spending $1800-2000 on it.

Things are great. That original box came in handy, and it has a new home on my shelf in Arizona! I had to give up my RF7s as I didn't want anything to happen to them in the move, so it is powering a pair of RB61 IIs. When we get a house down here, I will get it some proper speakers to power.

These were mine, and Rivernuggets is fantastic. Don't hesitate to do business with him. He's good people.

I live in North Phoenix if anyone wants me to go over and take a look at them.

Wow

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/ele/5257476557.html Kinda expensive for non-perfect bookshelves, but they are the legendary monsters. No affiliation.

If I was living by Chicago, I would already have bought these...

Think its 2 rf35s, 2 rf62s, and 1 rc64. I'd buy that in an instant if i was within 200 miles...

Decided to buy a pair of RB 61 ii's. 349 was a great deal, and they will have to do for the time I am an apartment dweller...if we like Arizona, I will buy a home down there worthy of my future LA Scala's. Thanks, guys, as always for the help, and I will be posting any deals from AZ and let you know if I'll be driving back to chicago if anyone wants something.

I would buy those in a heartbeat at $250. Although the grill cloth on the right speaker looks like it has peeled off the top of the frame.

I'll have to decline on the RP-160s. They do look nice, I just can't in good conscience buy them without having heard them. I am somewhat hesitant to try out the reference premier line.

I have one. I love it.

So I originally wanted to buy a pair of LA Scala, but I am looking at a probable move from the Chicago area to Phoenix, AZ. I'm looking to buy a pair of bookshelves that hopefully will have original boxes to make the move easier. I will be an apartment dweller, but I need decent horns with woofers that won't have my wall-sharers in a frenzy. Thanks in advance for any responses. Local zip code is 60098.

WTB: Klipsch LA Scala pair Chicago land/Milwaukee area

I like them both. Something about the style of the LA Scala has caught my eye. And I love horns, so I know they will catch my ears as well. -
WTB: Klipsch LA Scala pair Chicago land/Milwaukee area

I did see those. Looking for the more refined, nonindustrial look, as the wife will immediately nix them if they do anything to tarnish her living space -
Hello all, I'm looking to purchase my first pair of LA Scala's. I would like to buy a black pair. I have to have at least the grills that cover the upper and mid horns. I am looking to buy them in good condition, not a project. If anyone happens to have a very dark stain, that might also work. I really just can't make a walnut pair work. Otherwise, I think I could work with a bare plywood pair, and possibly stain them down the road. I'm a big fan of keeping speakers stock from the factory, because I think they're fantastic just the way Klipsch makes them. I sold my only pair of speakers I had left, so I am hoping to find a pair sooner than later. I am looking to spend anywhere from $1000 up to maybe $1500. There is a pair in Texas that is in fantastic shape asking $1500, so I'm hoping this is a fair amount if someone happens to be looking to sell theirs to try something new. I would like to buy a local pair, not looking for a big road trip or to be shipping these tanks. Thanks for reading! Will O.

The first time I saw the full grille LA Scala's, I fell in love. These speakers are gorgeous and I hope to own a pair one day.

I live in Woodstock. I'm trying to move my other speakers, but ill still be happy if the scalas sell to another forum member.

Gorgeous! And only 15 minutes away....
