  1. Any tips on a reciever that would do a Good job as a pre amp for the Forte`s? with Parasound A23!
  2. Forte II has finally arrived even tho they are in a much worse condition than what seller said and showed on pictures! First impressions is Amazing clarity, details and dynamics! Toto`s - i will remember has never been so powerful and direct! The bass can be felt clearly in my chest and i can crank it up loud with the tweeters breaking up and hurting my ears. And this is on a lousy Harman kardon avr80 reciever, cant wait until i get Parasound P3 and Parasound A23 to power them:D Also Bought a Svs pc13ultra, this sub is the most insane thing ive ever heard! tears up my room and im hitting 126dB often which is as loud as my spl meter goes!
  3. Think ill go with 2x svs pc13 ultra instead:) safer choice:)
  4. Well since i changed the topic to Forte II matches, that means things that will go well with the forte`s, Amps, Subwoofers and such! So for my next question! Got an offer on a Sunfire True subwoofer Mk2! Dual 10"s and 2700watts rms or something! How will this work with the forte`s? know its an old sub but so are the speakers:) Or will i be better of with something like The klipsch rsw10d or maybe something from svs? hate to get a "slow" subwoofer!
  5. Thanks for all the input I will stick to what i have heard good things about for now! bryston is totally unknown to me and not very normal in Norway i believe! So it goes down to the rotel 1080b or the Emotiva xpa2!
  6. Well honestly im very bad at telling if the sound is good or not! im more off a bass person! if it shakes my house, Rocks my body and punches my chest to pieces i would love it!! So i want a amplifier thats really powerful on the bass side, and can play incredibly loud without killing my ears to much like i have experience with amplifiers like NAD, Harman kardon! i auditioned My old rf 82s with a Vincent SV-238MK this blew my away and i loved the sound, then i also got the pleasure of Borrowing a Rotel RB1080 with a rotelpreamp! and after listening to this while switching back and forward the vincent sounded boring, closed and dull compared to the rotel setup the bass was messy and poor while the Rotel was Tight hardkicking and impressive! and if im not mistaking the vincent amp is a 5k dollar amp! might be great on something else than Klipsch tho! i can still buy the Rotel setup if i want, but after all the great comments about emotiva i so badly want to try it to see if they are really that good! So i guess what it all will come down to is which of these amps that will impress me the most on the bass side along with dynamics and headroom! Havent heard anything from the Klipsch seller for some days! but hope he will contact me soon and tell me my speakers are on their way! When they finally Arrive i will make a Big shootout between rf62,82,63 and the forte II! Regards Thomzzz
  7. Got a good offer on a parasound a23 for the same price as an xpa2! which would you think would be best for the forte II`s?
  8. So if you had to choose one to keep it would be the emotiva? Heard the rb1080 on klipsch rf82 and in my ears the sound was perfect! So if you say the emotiva is even better that will be my choice, even tho i think i will go for the xpa 2 instead:)
  9. Great thanks:) well as far as the juice go, im planning a xpa2 or a rotel 1080 for my fortes! Think one of those will do the trick:) tube amps aint my cup of tea sadly!
  10. Explain what you mean by that comment please, would be great to get different views:)
  11. Thats great to hear Jrod:) Forte is heritage i believe! Altho the lascalas are a couple of notches above the forte`s afaik, But hopefully i will get satisfied, worst case scenario is that i will end up selling them if im not satisfyed.. After what ive read from people that have experience with new reference and fortes is that the forte II`s trounce all over the reference line! so hopefully that will be my experience aswell:)
  12. Well the reason i started loving klipch is the "Snapp" they got in their mids! Its so physical and you can really feel it piercing your chest! But with my rf82s thats been hard to get, had it with my 63s but sold them due to economical reasons! so i hope the forte`s will bring me that back and Also i hope they "kick" abit harder:) Still unknown when they will arrive, so all i can do is wait and look for a good amp to make them come alive!
  13. Ye The Fortes is beeing shipped from USA in a few days, so im incredibly excited:) doubt they will be here in atleast 2 weeks tho! Currently running a old harman kardon avr 80reciever, thinking about upgrading to the emotiva xpa 2 or the xpa 1`s ! How are they Basswise compared to rf82?
  14. Hey, im new to the heritage line, former owned rf62,82 and 63.. then a dude from another forum told me to try out the Forte II, so i went to ebay and bought a pair in exelent condition! Never heard any of the heritage speakers from klipsch before, so what im really asking is: How will the forte`s be better than my rf82? if they will be any better at all! I love the bass in my rf82`s will the fortes bring me the same or more? Logically im really nervous since i bought them and sold me rf82s, so please if anyone has compared them to some of those ive owned earlier please tell me how you experienced them:) Been reading these forums for the last few hours but cant seem to find the exact answer im looking for! The room they are gonna be in is 10m2 and yes i am indeed a bass/spl junkie! i need speakers that will make my ears say no long before the speakers do! So what can i expect from the forte`s? Regards Thomas!
