  1. One minor (NOT!) detail, I don't have the 26" deep space for the SW-115. I presume it's 26" + 1+" for the cable(s). Any problem facing them sideways on the front wall to provide more room?
  2. Well, I used to be handy with tools but alas, my body fails me, too many health issues. Of course, I always think I can, just have to be realistic. For your custom sub, how low does it go? What do you think the entire setup would cost for you to build, parts + labor? Approximate. PM me if needed. Yes, I used to live in Bixby, just S of Tulsa, always loved Tulsa.
  3. Calera, OK, rural. About an hour from Dallas area. Room is 15x25, 9/10' ceiling, Quest AI panels, bass trap, mostly soundproof, double sheetrock green glued, etc. I don't have a budget. I don't subscribe to the method where one buys the most they can afford, that's simply not me. Instead, I buy what sound good enough for me for the lowest price. I can't believe the BIC would be any better than the SW-310. I am almost convinced though that a pair of SW-115 might fit the bill due to the lower end. It is hard to find a similar or lower priced sub than can go down that far.
  4. What about the Bic PL-200? Any good? It goes down to 22Hz. 12' instead of SW-115 15", but, I can get it *vastly* cheaper. Thinking of 2 of them.
  5. I see, well, it was admittedly a test only. i.e., with the minimal effort and time, so many things to do when moving, just tried the KSP-400's with each having one sub, not calibrated (well it is calibrated, just to old house) to see if a simple test could show me if subs can drive enough volume wise, and it was clear they could. Was not considering the low end, which I should. Receiver is Pioneer SC-55.
  6. Well, bigger is not always better! I laugh when I see that commercial and see people hauling around oversize phones that don't fit anywhere. Anyway, here's the thing. I have a pretty good theater room, mostly air tight, bass trap, quest ai panels, and, currently set it up with my KSP-400 speakers, each of which have a sub, and, that was way overpowered, the bass. So, I don't want anything more bass wise than they provide. Not sure if the room affects the bass level, but, sure seems that way. It was much different in my old house in just a "room".
  7. I live near Dallas, actually across the border in Oklahoma. I have 2 KSP-400, 1 KSF-C5, and 2 KSP-S5 speakers. They are black, and, the trim is not peeling or anything like that. They are in pretty good shape! If you are interested, I could take pictures. So, a matched set in other words. Now, the KSP-400's, as you may know, had troubles with hum and sub amps. Mine have no amps in them as they had broken long ago after several replacements. They were modified via instructions on this site to add a metal back plate so they can be driven with an external amp since parts are not really available any more. So, problem is solved! This works beautifully, and sounds better than they did when brand new, and the plate was machine cut and looks like it was made that way from the beginning. So, I have a Crown XLS1000 amp that goes with these speakers to drive the subs in the speakers. I won't unbundle the speakers. I would prefer not to ship them as I have no boxes and not even sure how quite honestly. If you have a way to do so, I suppose that's fine. Send me PM with any offer.
  8. Are the sides able to be flush mounted as well?
  9. Well, the back speakers will be 15 feet behind the listener. They each will be mounted on top of an acoustic panel. So, based on that, RB or RS?
  10. So, if I buy Klipsch RF-62 ii system, which includes 5 speakers and a sub, what would be the best Klipsch to pair with said system to make it 7.1?
  11. Yes a pair would get me half way there but already saw that. The condition is somewhat known, and I had asked the seller a question about their condition two days ago with no reply. So, I will not be bidding on them and still need two pair. I always watch Ebay. Was hoping someone here had the speakers they no longer wanted.
  12. Need black, need four of them, or I suppose 2 from 2 people. Anyone have any for sale? If so let me know and the condition.
