I still do a majority of my computer and electronic purchases over the internet. Sometimes I will buy movies and books as well. I almost always buy mother's day gifts from the internet as well (direct ship right to mom). I use B&M for window and comparison shopping for the big ticket items. Must have purchases are always B&M, cuz if it is a must have, I can't wait a week to get it...

Man, I hope Cox takes a page from Time Warner and provides the set top box without charge. The least they could do is start a leasing program with the unit, instead making you pay outright for it. I must admit though, a pure 1080i HDTV picture is _amazing_. I sometimes just sit and watch PBS just so I can enjoy the splendor of the high resolution and detail of the picture. I am experiencing some red push on my Sony set, and am getting it adjusted on Monday.

Where are you located? They have COX Cable HDTV here in Phoenix, AZ, but they require you to buy their $500 set top box. They may consider leasing the box next year. On top of that, they are only offering _two_ local channels over their system, PBS and ABC. Since I have a built in over the air HDTV tuner in my HDTV, I can get a number of channels via my indoor antenna; the investment just isn't worth it for me. Maybe if they lease the box...

I don't know if this counts, but my dad bought a pair of 1971 Heresy's brand new, and has graciously handed them off to me. Born and raised on the Klipsch sound.

Hey AR, I have that same car (73 Cougar XR7 - white) sitting in my dad's backyard, covered, waiting for me to get time to work on it. Man, that thing is definitely a tank, good thing it has that 351 Windsor in it! I used to be into car audio, but that was in my teenage years, when all I wanted was big time bass. I would have to agree that CC and BB, and other big electronic chains are not the way to go when looking for decent car audio. Another thing to consider is that we all know how 'knowledgable' most of the sales people are for their home audio section, I would assume that the car audio salesmen are of the same caliber. But I am sure there are a few good ones, somewhere...

Very nice. That is what I call excellent customer service! All these stories and posts about ppl and their new SVS... Makes me want to go out and pick one up to replace my KSW-12. Too bad I have to wait...

How big are your hands? I currently have a Pronto TSU2000 and I love the flexibility of the unit. I used to have the older Sony RM-AV2000 and found it to be a little on the large side. I have large hands, but I had problems using it with one hand. My wife on the other hand liked the Sony unit because of the placement of the often used ch+/ch- buttons. She is a major channel surfer and she liked the Sony much more than the Pronto. She could just put the remote down on the couch, and with one finger, just press away at the surfing buttons.

My dad has a pair of Heresy's that were made in the early 70's, and he has used a simple stand the shape of an 'X'. It is about 3 inches high and they are slightly smaller than the base of the speaker so it doesn't jut out anywhere, taking away from the appearance of the speaker. And of course, they sound great!

www.remotecentral.com is a great place to learn about programming your Pronto. I found it much easier to download somebody elses graphical layout, than to make my own. Artistically/creatively challenged I suppose. Both my wife and my 7yr old daughter love the remote, and use it daily without any problems. Program it right, and anybody will be able to pick it up and control your Home Theater without any problems.

The Kirby is just like any other upright that needs to have it's bag changed periodically. The wieght of those things is tremendous, and without the self-propelling feature, you would have an aching back in no time. I have heard good things about the miele vacuum, which unfortunately I heard too late after my wife plunked down too much $$$ on one of those TriStar canister vacs (good product, though).

I purchased a cable from Parts Express. I picked up the 'Dayton 12' Subwoofer Cable', and I am very happy with it. Looks sweet OP! I have been looking into getting the Denon 1600 myself, but have yet to decide on a TV. But my toys have to go to the back of the purchasing line. One must appease the significant other first.

To enable using the Avia test tones and still adjust the levels, I have found that pressing the 'ENTER/SHIFT/Pause' key on the remote for the 3802 when the remote is controlling the 'AMP' will allow you to cycle through the active speakers, which you can then adjust the levels using the up and down adjustments.
