  1. Why not the Panasonic LF-D311? I currently have the LF-D211. For storage, I actually prefer DVD-RAM because it's like having another volume in your system. The LF-D311 has the ability to write DVD-R.
  2. You can get the Z560 from http://www.2buystore.com for $139.71 with free ground shipping.
  3. I don't think you can really compare them if the two are priced so different. The Z560 is priced less than half of the Promedia 4.1 If you don't throw in price, I would take the 4.1 over the Z560 (I currently have the v2-400 and I heard the z560). Speaker compartion is very difficult because it's subjective. This message has been edited by vl168 on 01-11-2002 at 01:46 PM
  4. AOaR, I've seen them at my local COMPUSA and Bestbuy. The V4.1 were $269. Bestbuy still have the V2-400 but for $249. I bought my brand new V2-400 for $149 at COMPUSA 2 months back when they got rid them. I saw another COMPUSA store had the same deal 2 weeks ago but were gone when I went out to get them this weekend. I decided last week that I would get another set and use part of it for the center/sub. I guess I have to wait for Best Buy to discount their 2.1 or V2-400. I am also hoping find a good deal on a used set.
  5. I've seen the 4.1 price at $269 at 2 different stores in the past few weeks. Maybe it will go down further once then get the 5.1 stock.
  6. bugman, What are you referring to when you said brackets for $59.99. I thought the WB-1 bracket works for all ProMedia. If you are referring to the speaker stands, I went with the Radio Shack ones because I didn't want to pay shipping cost for heavy items. I just got my WB-1 brackets and it's a lot cheaper than any of the universal brackets I've seen in the local stores. It has a clean and simple design (not vertical adjustment) but serves it's purpose for less than $30.
  7. You have to look on the bright side. You have been enjoying great sounds off your computer for the past 6 months. Isn't technology great?
  8. What is the part number for the wall mounting brackets? I am having trouble searching for the parts. As for paying only $150 for the v2.400. I was going to buy the 4.1 but one of the sale associate told me that there was a brand new v2 for $150 (guess they want to clear their inventory). I just couldn't pass up the deal.
  9. I recently got a set of v2-400 from my local CompUSA for $149 and I have to say these things are darn impressive. However, I think it's too loud to have it right on my computer desk. I want to mount these on the wall so are there wall mounting brackets available that can be purchase? I don't really want to bend the original brackets just yet. TIA Van
