  1. Thanks. Just added what was on my phone.
  2. Nice set of oiled oak klipschorns for sale near KNOXVILLE. AK3 crossovers everything untouched. Asking $2500
  3. You can't tell but the first row is on a riser and the second row is on a 2 step riser.
  4. The subs are 4 18" FI drivers in an ib setup. The Lascalas ate actually in sealed enclosures to seal the front wall. The side Lascalas are toed in and all 3 are slanted back so both rows look down the throats. The second row actually has more bass so the front row has a shaker in each seat cut off above 10hz though.
  5. See if this link works. http://s893.photobucket.com/user/chambers1517/library/
  6. Here are some pictures of my theater with LCR Lascalas.
  7. Yes I was using Logic 7. Maybe you stumbled on my issue. It is as you say very immersive. I'll play around some more and see if this possibly is the answer.
  8. I dont think its a trim issue. When i tried using the HK as an amp the volume on the HK still worked. I set it to -10 which let the Integra trim the fronts and boost the others about the same amount, The difference is hard to explain. You know the Dolby surround thing that plays at the beginning of some movies. It gives you a surround feeling. if that makes sense. I really feel it with the HK but not with the Integra. The surrounds seem to get less work with the Integra. I even boosted them but they just dont get as much work.
  9. This is some of the exact things I fought. The front trims were completely bottomed out at -15 and the sides and rears were around -5. I did use a meter to adjust everything manually. I have never been a believer that a reciever or an amp would change sound much. I was sure there was a flaw in my room. When the Integra went out I was overjoyed to find how great the room sounded with the HK. I figured it had to be a better amp section in the HK since it weighs about 3x what the Integra weighs. I fed the Integra into the HK amps and the sound was the same. I tried everything in the integra to make it sound like the HK. Audyssey off, different crossover points, different surround modes. I just dont know what the HK does different. I've about decided to switch to component video and use the HK or use the Integra for video switching and the HK for sound. It just feels like a big waste to use the Integra as a video switcher. I wish one of you guys were close so you could give a listen.
  10. Thanks, Ill try to get some pictures up. I have some from during construction. The entire bottom of the front wall is covered in speaker cloth so its hard to see whats behind it. My ceiling is black and the carpet and the walls not covered by panels are dark eggplant. My screen is a Dalite Highpower. The room is very dark even with lights on and any kind of flash makes the screen light up like a spotlight.
  11. My theater is completed. It is 28x17. I spent a lot of time on acoustic panels. Two rows of seating. The front wall has 3 lascalas built into it and also has 4 18" subs in an IB configuration. I have 2 side and 2 back heresys. I have a scope screen above the speakers and I have a Sony h40 projector with a lens. I also bought an Integra 60.5 reciever so i could get audyssey x32 for the subs. It took about 3 years to purchase everything and build the room. The picture is awesome and the sound is good. I have an old HK7200 upstairs that I use to power a pair of Klipschorns. They are in the living room and it is pretty much the same dimensions as the theater. I was listening to music on day in the theater trying to figure out the best surround mode for music. I think I settled on THX ES. It sounded better than stereo. I listened for a while and went upstairs to listen to the same music on the Klipschorns. I was extremely disappointed with what i heard. I took my wife down to the theater and played the music and then to the living room. She smiled big and said her room sounded much better than mine. I said i know. I said I have 7 speakers, 4 subs, room treatments, and Audyssey and her living room blows it away. I figured it had to be the Klipschorns or my design had a major flaw. this bothered me bad. I tried a lot of different things but it never sounded much better. One day my Integra went out and I took it in for repair. I took the HK to the theater until the Integra came back. Hooked everything up and balanced the speakers and wow, it was better than the living room. The surrounds were much more alive on movies and the surround feeling was just there. I couldnt believe it. The HK doesnt have HDMI so everything was plain Dolby. My wife asked what I had done. The Integra comes back and I put it back in and the dull lifeless sound was back. I turned Audyssey off and it was actually worse. I hooked the Integra preouts to the HK direct input for the amps. Still sounded bad. I had a friend bring an Onkyo 818 over to make sure the Integra was working right. It sounded like the Integra. So I have a $2400 avr with all the bells and wistles that sounds terrible. I have an outdated avr without HDMI that sounds great. What should I do and why does the old HK sound so great?
  12. I am close to Knoxville. It is a nice unit with lots of power and audyssey x32xt.
  13. I have a very lightly used Integra 60.5 for sale. I bought one new about 2 years ago for $2300. We had a lightning storm and all my electronics were hit. I turned it in to the insurance and they replaced everything. I took the old damaged Integra back to the shop where I bought it to see if it was worth anything and they replaced it under warranty. I have played around with it but don't need it and it just sits. Asking $600.

  15. I have 3 sets of Heresy cabinets to give away. I may also have 2 sets of grills. They are just in the way. I am close to Knoxville.
  16. I use a panamorph fvx200 witch is a vertical compression lens. There is less distortion with this lens but it requires a longer throw. I have 3 Lascalas across the front and wanted as big a screen as possible. The lens let me use a 159" anamorphic screen with the Lascalas below the screen. A 16x9 ratio would be tiny in my setup.
  17. I also have a month old Onkyo 818 for sale. I bought it when I thought the Integra was a goner. I have it listed for $400. I will sell which ever one sells first. I will be happy keeping either one since I dont need both of them.
  18. I am in East Tn. I'll give you some details. I bought an Integra 70.2 from a loca dealer. I used it for about a 4 months and the hdmi card went out. I took it back to the dealer and they sent it in for repairs. It took 3 months to get it back. I used it for a month and it went out again. 3 months again to get it back. I used it for about a week the third time and it went out again. When I took it in for the third time they said this model was having issues and replaced it with the 60.5. I needed the Integra for video scaleing. I used it for 3 months and it performed perfect. I bought a new Projector and we watched our first movie and in the middle of it I got the no signal message on the screen. I assumed this reciever was out and took it to the dealer. I bought a lower level Onkyo reciever to get by until the Integra came back since we could't watch movies. When I got the new reciever I found that I still got the same message. It ended up being the projector. I sent it back and got a new projector. I went to the Integra dealer but the reciever was already sent out. When I got the Onkyo the sound was really missing compared to the Integra. I talked to the dealer and he said the amps in the Onkyo were not as good as the Integra and recommended a better amp. I had an old Harmon Kardon 7200 avr I wasn't using so I used the Onkyo as a preamp to feed the HK. This combo really worked well. This has been about a month now and the dealer called and said the Integra was back so I just picked it up. He said there was no issues found (we already knew this) and gave me the reciever. The reciever is still wrapped in plastic. I have 2 mics and 2 remotes for the Integra( 1 mic and remote from the 70.2) but they are the same. Long story short, unit is almost new but I'm happy with my current setup and figured I'd give someone a good deal on a $2300 reciever. Oh yeah, The unit is heavy but I can probably ship.
  19. I have an almost new Integra DTR 60.5 reciever for sale $950 obo.
  20. $100 for all 3 sets and 2 pairs of grills. I took the components out to make bilt in's in my theater. Now I have all these cabinets sitting around in the way.
  21. I have 3 sets of heresy cabinets. Pickup only, I am around Knoxville. I'll take $100. # sets of cabinets and 2 sets of grills.
  22. I'll try and get pics of both with dimensions. Been struggling with this for a while. I'm a DIY person and hate to need help with things but there comes a time to call in the experts.
  23. The Lascalas are actually toed in and up. Since the front wall is an IB wall I built boxes into the wall so it could be sealed. The boxes are big enough to move the Lascalas around some. The front of the lascalas are out about 2" on the outside and almost even in the middle. I put blankets between the speakers and boxes to fill the void.
  24. I think you guys are right. When I was a kid I had Heresy's in my room and would hook them up to my stereo tv. As I grew and surround and home theater became bigger I was always chasing the ultimate. Now I have gone as far as I am probably willing to go and it really is sad the chase is over. This has been a goal most of my life and it is funny that I am sad that I finally have what I always wanted.
