  1. Thanks for the head up! Neither have buy now options, so not really sure how expensive their going to get, but I'll keep an eye on 'em.
  2. I'd go with option 3 if possible. I couldn't make that decision. I love the Heresys and the RF3s.
  3. The Guess Who is cool, been listening to them since I was little. What song is that though?
  4. Actually HornEd, if you want a little "Jo-Jo trivia," I can't scream. I think it's cause I was such a tomboy when I was younger. But, if I was ever in the situation of the terror of DwK's bad side of driving (), I think I'd take the bus... or walk... Love you DwK!!!
  5. So like, I've been looking for some Klipsch that are cheaper than buying straight from the company right? I've checked out a bunch of online sites, as well as gotten recommendations from fellow "forum goers." I've kinda gotten the impression that ebay is the only semi-reliable place as far as bidding goes. I haven't gotten a real good impression of places like Ubid. Am I wrong?
  6. Well, I'm not an expert on matching subs with systems or anything, but I highly recommend the Velodyne HGS series.
  7. This is me eating my words... he wasn't THAT bad... he's just a monkey...
  8. When I listened to the SB3's in the store here, I didn't like them very much. I suppose it's all where you are and the equipment you're using. The acoustics could've been different.
  9. I was in the car! Scary stuff... not cool. I'll also have y'all know I had him take me home!
  10. Eww... yeah, I'd rather stay away from far northern states, if I can help it (also Canada). Shipping normally runs higher, and I don't want to end up paying like $600 total; then I might as well have bought some speakers new. I'm putting my little search on hold cause I'm now considering a deal with a fellow Klipsch forum person. All I can do is hope . *Crosses fingers* This message has been edited by Jo-Jo on 07-25-2001 at 02:41 PM
  11. Thanks Mr. Blorry! I tried to find a website for the place in Arlington, and I got something about schizophrenia. But, I found the website for Sound Idea. They aren't open Sundays, but I'll call them this week and check prices because their Klipsch link just leads to this Klipsch site. I'm thinking they won't be very different though.
  12. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area; I'd think that'd be a prime place to find some, but the only true dealer I know about is Hillcrest. Other places I've visited only have the Pro Medias.
  13. Well, I dropped the deal with the guy in Alaska because he decided to up the price when he FINALLY got back to me. Then, the second guy decided not to sell his Heresys, so now I'm stuck. The second guy has a pair of Heresy IIs, but I'm just not inclined to spend as much on them; am I wrong? There's a pair of Heresy IIs on ebay, but there's no buy now feature, and the speakers are already at $550. If anyone spots some cheap but decent Klipsch speakers anywhere, let me know. Around here I'm just not lucky enough to find a pair at a garage sale. This message has been edited by Jo-Jo on 07-21-2001 at 03:12 PM
  14. Yay! RF3s! I approve...
  15. If you really want quintets, everyone and their dog is selling them cheap on ebay. But, from what I've heard, they're really not that great. I recommend getting something better; Klipsch makes a lot of good speakers- you can find some of them that are pretty cheap. Does size matter to you at all? Are you trying for the same size as the Pro Medias, or are you just looking for sound quality? This message has been edited by Jo-Jo on 07-20-2001 at 10:21 AM
