  1. Live and Let Live says I. I do reserve the right to wonder who was walked down the isle at that wedding.
  2. +1 on the Bosch units. Ours is quiet and reliable.
  3. I can vouch for Alex at Broken Press. He made my credenza which is very similar to the one in photos above. He's an extremely talented and reliable dude.
  4. Twenty years of being a landlord has taught me that people treat rental homes the same as rental cars. Appliances and mechanicals are cared for in same fashion one would treat the transmission of a rental Mustang in Las Vegas on a bachelor party weekend. Tenants that respect, maintain, and timely pay rent are a joyful rarity.
  5. Peachtree Audio's Nova and Juicy Music Peach are entirely different manufacturers and products.
  6. My goodness that is some beautiful gear. Good luck with landing them.
  7. Completed listings on Ebay do not seem to support asking prices of 8 large +. In his CL listing he means Dynaco right?
  8. Can these possibly sound so good they're worth anything close to $ 8950.00? This dude lives very near and I am tempted to give them a listen but he may need to move the decimal point one position to the left. 9. Great looking Khorns and gorgeous long gone boat.
  10. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates have for some time been soliciting wealthy public figures to pledge the majority of their money to their charitable foundation. I wonder if this was what they discussed. Kudos to Paul for listening if it was.
  11. My perspective had changed after losing my older brother in 2013 at 46. I woke up a few days ago realizing that I have already outlived him. I remind myself often that I have a exceptional wife and wonderful kids and for that I am grateful. If that were not enough I have been lucky enough to be friends with people I respect and admire. Life is a gift so I am going to make it count today by making the folks I love happy. Tomorrow when I wake up I'm going to try to do it again.
  12. I have not yet had the pleasure of listening to the Juicy Music Peach but if it is anything like my Juicy Music Blueberry Xtreme it is an absolute delight. Marks products are gorgeous to boot. Also, where else but here is the builder available to discuss his goods? Good luck with your sale.
  13. That car just screams " let her rip!" I have always wanted a little carving menace of a car like that. I'll just have to make do with my Chevy pick up and '68 Impala convertible until kids are out of college. Enjoy that beast.

    WTF ?

Amy has politely and repeatedly asked us to refrain from uninvited comments regarding price in the Garage Sale forum. She is the Moderator and she has weighed in on the matter. Why is that not enough of an answer? The notion that a few White Knights are saving us all from getting ripped off with their precious comments is as laughable as it is self serving. Even the most modest research effort by a buyer will result in detailed information regarding value and features. Is there an epidemic of sellers swindling members of the Klipsch forum but it has somehow escaped my notice? This is nothing more than a solution in search of a problem. Folks who have diarrhea of the keyboard just can't help themselves.

    test

Just to be clear: This is a "Test" and you have posted it in the " wrong section..."
  16. Many of us bought our Khorns previously used at far less than 20% of their current cost so it is difficult to relate to someone who may have shelled out $ 8000.00+ and can't wrap their mind around the current market.
  17. HOw about one where we can talk about religion, politics and gun control ? The more inflammatory the topic the better. Have at it.
  18. No doubt the Lounge is excellent at kicking the doors open to expression. My hat is off to that venue as I have enjoyed the time I've spent reading the stylings of our learned bretheren. The Out House welcomes the wanton thread crapper with open arms and invites him or her to disrupt and condescend at will.
  19. We already have an Alerts sub forum for Garage Sale so why not add just one more called Out House? Or if that name is a touch too impolite we could call it the " Reading Room". There seems to be a demand for a forum where all are welcome to come on in and sit down for a spell and ponder aloud whatever comes to mind regardless of the subject posted by the OP. For instance: the OP posts a favorite barbeque recipe and someone can begin a side discussion of GM's powerglide transmissions or perhaps a couple other folks can build their post counts discussing luner eclipses. Sound good guys?
  20. When the overwhelming number of posts are a discussion that can at best be described as tangential to the OP's sale the Garage Sale ad has been thoroughly crapped. GLWS bump to the OP
  21. Mark- Your price is not out of line considering the ALK crossovers and the effort you have put into the paint job. I for one appreciate the 'spatter' paint job that gives the LS's a gig ready vibe. Further I dig your crusty sense of humor to ward off time wasting tire kickers. I hope you get all fourteen hundred of those dollars for those righteous speakers. Don't let a little hazing from forum vets bother you they are like big brothers - they will grow to love you. As for newbs that thread crap - I'm speachless.
  22. Roger - Thanks for coming up to drop these beautiful crossovers off yesterday. It was a ton of fun talking equipment with you and I appreciate your advice. It was an honor to spend time with a Marine Veteran like you. Next time it will be over a beer or two I hope. You are quality people.
  23. seriously ? they are AA crossovers. grab em you will likey I was quite serious, perhaps ignorantly so. Caution has served me well. I am encouraged by your confidence that I will likey them. So much so that I PM's our friend Roger that I'd take them. Cheers Budmand and thanks for the heads up.
  24. Dean- Would these work in Khorns that have AA crossovers?
