  1. I just set up two different center speakers, stacked on top of one another, both being played from an Integra ADM 2.1 100x2 chan amplifier and it sounds great. Using my Denon AVR-X4300 as processor. Give it a try and see how it sounds. I have the smaller JBL center sitting directly on top of my huge infinity center speaker, both are directly below the TV on an entertainment center.
  2. No high frequency on rf62 iv. I've swapped the tweeters and both work. All four subs work, but the highs coming from one crossover isn't working. I've checked all caps with for meter and seems comparable between the two crossovers. Does any one know of any other possible reason for not outputting high frequency?
  3. Looks awesome! Is that a reef tank in the back ground?
  4. Here is the large living room/dining/aquarium/kitchen room. I was not pleased with the sound of this room at all. The new room sounds awesome even when playing the two front left and right speakers in stereo with no subwoofer.
  5. I made a post previous to the one above with lots of pics and info about switching rooms and the forum said the post needed to be reviewed before it would post. Did it get removed or deleted? There was a ton of info. Oh well. I will try to retype it.
  6. I chose this room bc it has a convenient lil closet in the right corner. I dont plan on using the stool for a center channel stand for ever [] haha. I plan on doing a floating shelf for the center. Since taking these pics, I installed the IR system in the wall below the TV and Center using LV cut ins and the proper face plate that was included in the kit. I also installed the other part in the closet, and to be honest the IR kit works MUCH MUCH better than expected considering is was only $35. I also installed shelves in the closet for the equipment. The only bump in the road so far was not having enough wire to finish the 6&7 rear surrounds, but thats cool bc I have been rocking out with 5.1 and loving it. I plan to run wire for 6&7 tonight and I want to mount them the same height as the side surrounds. How far apart?
  7. So I decided to chagne my setup from a huge rectangular room with vaulted ceilings to a smaller 11x11.5 room. Started Saturday and got quite a bit done over the weekend. Here is the old room/living room/dining room/aquarium room/ kitchen. There was just too much going on in this area and I could not get the sound I wanted. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/fc1efdce.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/eef541e0.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/690ac6c6.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/0f3473af.jpg Here is some of the progress thus far. TV Mounted with center channel, HDMI, and IR repeater ran into closet via wall and attic. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/2e4f1f9e.jpg Center and Left http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/60b350d6.jpg Side Left Surround http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/959bb91a.jpg Side Right Surround http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/SideRight.jpg Front Right http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f54/bnutz8/FrontRight.jpg
  8. Thank you to all who helped. Tomorrow is the big day. I will update with pics after I get it all set up.
  9. This is my main concern as I have been shopping for a reclining love seat so I could get an exact idea on how high to mount my TV and center speaker. I have read a couple a places that say to mount the side surrounds 18" to 24" down from the ceiling. The ceiling in this room is a standard 8'. Do I moun the side and rear surrounds the same height? Thanks.
  10. Thank you for the diagram, as for my side and rear surrounds, they are both WSDT type speakers. I plan on having a two or three seat movie chair loacated about in the middle of the room. I have a closet in this room and will set up all equipment there. I have an IR repeater kit for this. Integra 6.9 reciever with 120w per channel. I plan on using a sub or two in the living room, so I will pry only use one in this room. The TV will be wall mounted and all cables ran through wall into attic and down into closet. Should I mount side and sur speakers at the height on the TV? Only items on front wall will be TV, Center, and Front R/L speakers.
  11. I am moving everything from a very large rectangular shaped room with high vaulted ceilings into on of my extra bedrooms which measures 11 feet by 11.5 feet. How should I set up 7.1 with the following equipment: RF 62s RC 62 RS 52s RS 41s Three subs: velodyne 8" and 10", and Mirage 12" (not do concerned with the subs as I will play around with different locations.) As for TV, I have a Samsung 52" LN52750A or a 42" Panasonic Plasma. My biggest needs are help with speaker location and height, and how high to place the TV. Thank you for any help. I have measured everything in the room if you need.
  12. I've bough numerous types of cables from mono and no bad ones so far. Can't beat their price-to-quality ratio.
  13. Advice please. I have RF62s, RC62, RS52s,RS41iis powered by a Integra 6.9. Would I benefit most from XPA-2, XPA-3, or XPA-5 ? Should I sale 6.9 and get amp and preamp?
  14. Just installed amps and speakers in my new truck and one of the amps came with a gain level remote that I have wired under the dash by my right knee. Comes in handy when constantly changing music genre. Anywho... the remote has a VERY bright blue led light and even though I have it tucked under the dash, it lights up the entire cab, and it is even noticeable in the day time. I thought about putting a peice of electrical tape over the glass and trimming around with razor. If this doesn't work, I will try the sharpie idea. Thanks for the tip.
