  1. I have a few minor problems with these speakers but all of them seem like they should be an easy fix. I just can't find the parts. 1) I need to know where I can get replacement speaker wire for the satellites, they have some type of connector I've never seen before. I'd like to get thicker wire if possible. I need a new bracket for where the speakers connect to the amp/sub, the latch that holds red in for the right satellite is broken. I have a peace of electrical tape holding it in place and it works, but I didn't pay $150 to put tape on my speakers. All 4 latches are on a bracket that unscrews from the backplate. It connects to the mainboard with something similar to fan connectors in PC's. I have the din cable problem, but the control pod is on it's way out so I'm just going to buy a new one. Can anyone point me in the direction of getting these parts or even sell them to me? Control pod isn't a problem, my main concern is the latch for speaker wire.
  2. I'd like to say sorry for the repost first. I didn't see the computer speakers forum and put it in the wrong section I've got a few problems, but I love the speakers so much I simply don't want to part with them. I have the original version, I've heard they put out a different version of the promedia 2.1 but don't indicate it anywhere, even the product codes were the same. Anyway, to start, I have the typical Din cable problem but my control pod is also going bad so I'm just going to buy a new one. The cables that plug into the speakers are broken. They have speaker wire on one end but the connection to the satellites is what I assume some type of mono audio jack. Then, the last problem I have is that there is bracket on the back of the sub. The red clip on it for the right satellite broke, so it needs replaced. After taking it apart It seems like a very easy repair. I've already had to do things such as replace the main fuse and the internal one for the left satellite. My brother didn't understand the concept of ohms and hooked his speakers up expecting to use it as just an amp. I believe I got these in 2007 and they have survived 4 moves and constant switching from room to room. I'm worried about getting the second version and it just seems cheaper to replace these parts. Can anyone one point me in the direction of getting some if not all of these parts? I'd really hate to throw away otherwise good speakers.

  4. Sweet! I may buy a few because I want to buy a second set of these speakers and I'm not sure about relyablity of these fuses. I Wonder if these have the same type of overheating problem that the 5.1's have. you will get an email from me in a few hours, busy day. Thank you!!!!
  5. The right channel on my speakers broke so I opened it up and found the fuse on the right channel had blown. I cannot find this thing ANYWAY WHERE!!!! I've been looking for months. I eventually just plugged both statlites into the same channel and turned mono sound on. I didn't pay good money for mono sound out of one channel so does anyone know where I can get this small fuse for the inside of the amp?
