  1. Fixed it fer ya. And closed loop gain is the figure that is always spec'd by manufacturers of Audio Amps as "gain".
  2. Just one easily searchable example that gain and feedback have an intimate relationship.
  3. K1 or K2 have less negative FB? I believe on my K2s it is selectable. 26dB gain or 1.4v for full output which is even more gain. My D75s are 26 dB gain. Also I think Mark turned down the gain on the "Duke".
  4. Hold on a second. How many "old" LaScalas do you have @filbertr? If only 2 you will need something for the center channel. The center channel(dialouge) is quite important in HT.
  5. A hollow wall with sheetrock on both sides is like a bass drum. Filling the cavity WILL help. Again we just don't know how much without measurements.
  6. What was in the walls before retrofit? The pink stuff? And changing to rockwool helped LF standing waves? Got any measurements?
  7. If the finished surface is drywall putting rockwool in the wall behind it will do not much acoustically. It is good thermal insulation though. And yes I agree with other posts here the window needs a curtain/drape with several folds across the span that you can close during critical listening sessions. But hey I'm no expert. I just know I made vast improvements in imaging when I installed acoustic panels and drapes in my listening room
  8. Welcome to the Club...the list just gets longer then you die with stuff not done. At least that's how I see it.
  9. "I'm hoping that I last longer than me." So how are you, yourself and you?
  10. Funny though when thinking of replacing/fixing things around the homestead..."This will probably last longer than me".But like the BeachBoys said "God only knows"
  11. Prolly in O-HI-O you have much more forgiving water. Out here the water is so hard it ruins anything you throw at it and sooner then you would think(hope).
  12. Agreed...but they fail also.. sadly.
  13. Well the KPT-1201 is certainly not a Jubilee. Which horns are on those other drivers? @Klipsch_Kid

@Invidiosulus How do you like that horn, STH100? 30 db down at 20 KHz? The graph is a little hard to read.
  15. Many used sealed or ported subs with their Klipsch horn loaded speakers. @dtr20 is not the lone ranger. Ideal ? Maybe not. Workable? Yes. Especially with the powerful DSP he has at his disposal. In sheer output the SVS sub will get over powered by the Jubes but at what level? Maybe dtr20 does not need that high a level.

not this time/not this project but thanks for vote of confidence. Same landscaper that built the columns for my driveway gate and a few other projects will do this one. He is reasonable price wise and knows what he is doing. And @JJkizak before you ask they will put compacted road base under mine even though I live on rock.
  17. Hey Klipsch Kid, what do you have? That you want to sell? Many here might be interested. Start a post in the 'Garage Sale' area. I'm pretty sure you do not have the version of the Jubilee that is currently being produced for $35k a pair. Are you saying you just have the 402 horn? That would sell here as well for sure.

ahh the "I" pattern, looks good. I'm having about a 450 ft^2 of my driveway done hopefully starting this week too. If it doesn't rain too much.
