  1. No, I haven't heard them but have heard absolutely raving reviews/impressions of them. I've done quite a bit of research on them as well. But I do own its baby brother (JBL LSR305 monitors + JBL LSR310S subwoofer) for my 2.1 setup for my desktop computer. The LSR305 sounds damn amazing considering what I paid for them. Plus, the imaging is phenomenal. The sound sounds "holographic" sometimes due to the incredible imaging. I can only imagine what the real deal (the M2) sounds like.
  2. Is there any minimum listening distance requirement with the RF-7 III? With the layout of my room, I might be only about 5.5 ft from them.
  3. Actually, in the summer, it is usually very humid outside. Edit: I'll try to get pics.
  4. My room is not damp (or at least doesn't seem/feel like it) and in the summer the A/C is on 24/7. In the winter, the A/C is off but the room temperature is the same as during the summer with the A/C on. It happens both during the summer and winter. What could be the cause? It seems every few weeks to a month, mold slowly starts growing on my speakers and SubMersive. I wipe it off and everything is good as new. However, I haven't wiped off the mold in several months now and if I wipe is off now, there are "mold stains" where the mold was growing. Not sure if there is a way to get the stains off. Note that the mold grows on the non-veneered front baffle face of the RF-7s and RC-7. I don't really notice it on the veneer that is on the sides, back, and top of the speakers. This is the only room in the house that has this mold issue.
  5. Someone on the AVS Forum stated that Klipsch has said not to use L-brackets to mount the center speakers because they are front-heavy and also because center speakers are not designed to be used that way. Link to post: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/89-speakers/680426-klipsch-owner-thread-1820.html#post55478750 Is this true?
  6. Thanks. However, considering I listen very loud when given the chance, I think the small Klipsch Atmos modules may have an issue with keeping up with my SPL requirements. I really don't want to risk blowing the speakers. Because of this, I keep coming back to larger and beefier speakers like the KPT-801 and AW-650. But after some research, I found out that the AW-650 does not use a real compression driver and while its sound quality may be okay for outdoor use, it doesn't have the sound quality to match Klipsch's home/indoor speakers. The KPT-801 has a real compression driver and, most likely, will be able to keep up with my SPL requirements. I may end up with the KPT-801. Does anyone know how much they cost?
  7. Will there be new surround speakers to match the RF-7 III/RC-64 III or are you expected to mate them with the RP-250S?
  8. Thanks for the reply. Can you mount the RP-140SA or R-14SA on a concrete ceiling? As far as I know, these are not designed to be ceiling mounted.
  9. Since I have a concrete ceiling and cannot use in-ceiling speakers, I was recommended here on the Klipsch forum that I should use the Klipsch Pro KPT-801 for the four ceiling speakers. Then, someone asked a similar question on the AVS Forum and there he was recommended the Klipsch AW-650 (or one of the similar models) for the ceiling speakers. The Klipsch Pro and the Architectural speakers mentioned have a very similar design and look and both come with C-brackets. My question is, which should I go for? The Klipsch Pro KPT-801 or the Klipsch AW-650? If you were to leave it to me, I would probably just go for the Klipsch Pro KPT-801 because of increased output/SPL and the fact that it is designed for cinema use whereas the Klipsch AW-650 is an outdoor speaker. Any comments/opinions will be appreciated. By the way, can both the KPT-801 and the AW-650 be mounted to a concrete ceiling using the supplied C-brackets that come with the speakers? I am pretty sure the KPT-801 can be ceiling mounted using the C-bracket that comes with the speaker but not too sure about the AW-650.
  10. Thanks. The ones you linked only support 30 lbs while the RC-64 III is 55 lbs. How are these ones? They support 60 lbs: https://www.amazon.com/Pinpoint-Mounts-AM38-BLACK-Speaker-Universal/dp/B00VJ3KWOQ/ref=sr_1_11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510648287&sr=1-11&keywords=center+speaker+mounting+bracket By the way, the ones I linked above are 13.5" deep while the RC-64 III is 15" deep. No issue if the RC-64 III hangs slightly over the mounting brackets?
  11. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/136216-anyone-has-the-impedance-and-phase-curves-for-the-klipsch-rf-7-ii-speakers/
  12. How do class-D amps mate with Klipsch? As far as I know, they generally don't like loads below 4 ohms. If I were to use them with the RF-7 III (that most likely dips to around 2.8 ohms based on the impedance curve of the RF-7 II), would they be able to drive them effectively? I'm looking at the new class-D amps from ATI.
  13. That's perfect! Thanks. Would you recommend getting two of them (i.e. one for the left side of the center speaker and one for the right side)? Max width possible is 18" whereas the RC-64 III is 35.8" wide.
  14. Any recommendations for a wall mounted shelf or wall bracket that can support the RC-64 III?
  15. True. Another option that I am looking at (and one that probably makes more sense) is to upgrade the TV, processor, amp, and disc player. Thinking of the following: TV: Sony KD-55X9300E (55") 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player: OPPO UDP-203 Processor: Anthem AVM 60 Amplifier: Parasound Halo A 51 I'll keep the current speakers and the subwoofer. Not only will I upgrade the video part but the audio part as well since I'll be getting separates this time around.
  16. Thanks. That's pretty much what I had in mind. Prices are quite the same when it comes to audio equipment between the US and Dubai. Only issue is that the market for speakers is not very big here unlike the US. I might have an issue finding a buyer. Audiophiles are hard to come by in Dubai.
  17. Thanks. Any idea how much I could sell my pair of RF-7s, a single RC-7, and a pair of RS-7s for? A ballpark price is fine.
  18. Considering I've had this setup since 2003-2004, I'm contemplating a complete re-do. Here's what I've planned (a projector is not on the cards due to room layout and size): TV: Sony KD-65A1 (European version of US model Sony XBR-65A1E) Ultra HD Blu-ray player: OPPO UDP-203 Processor: Anthem AVM 60 Amplifiers: ATI AT523NC (3 x 200 watts Class D for LCR) + ATI AT528NC (8 x 200 watts Class D for side surrounds, back surrounds, and ceilings) Mains: 2 x Klipsch RF-7 III Center: 1 x Klipsch RC-64 III Side surrounds: 2 x Klipsch RP-250S Back surrounds: 2 x Klipsch RP-250S Ceiling: 4 x Klipsch Pro KPT-801 (have a concrete ceiling and cannot use in-ceiling speakers) Subwoofer: *continue using my single Seaton Sound SubMersive and maybe add more later on* Room size is roughly 15 ft long x 12 ft wide x 9.5 ft high. By the way, how much could I sell my current RF-7, RC-7, and RS-7 speakers for? They are in good condition but some of the grille "tabs" for the RF-7s are broken but the grille still stays on perfectly. Scratches are at a minimum. The vinyl on the RS-7s is starting to peel off at some of the edges. I replaced one of the woofers in the RC-7 as it was blown some years back. I used an original replacement woofer. Overall, the speakers sound great and have no issues in sound reproduction.
  19. Do you buy DVDs of the latest movies? I assume you too don't have a Blu-ray Disc player? By the way, for how much longer do you guys think they will still sell DVDs of the latest movies? Any idea when they might stop producing them?
  20. Just wondering how many people have home theaters here that are still stuck in the DVD ages? Mine is. I set it up in the early 2000s and never updated the TV (it is an SD plasma), A/V receiver, disc player, etc. to support Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. I can only watch DVDs on it. I fear I may be the only one here with everyone at least on standard (non-4K) Blu-ray.
  21. Will there be new surround speakers to match the upcoming RF-7 III and RC-64 III? The current top Reference Premiere surround speaker (RP-250S) does not have a "real" compression driver like the RF-7 III and RC-64 III.
  22. Thanks for the replies. I have also have a question regarding TV mount stands such as the ones found in this link: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/sb0/flat-panel-mount-tv-stands-c413915.html You'll notice that all have a max TV size they support. Does that max TV size correlate with the width of the shelves (i.e. the width of the shelves is equal to the max TV size supported) or is there something else preventing them from supporting larger TVs? I don't mind if the TV extends beyond the width of the shelves so I was wondering if there is anything preventing me from installing a TV that is larger than the max supported size stated by them.
