  1. Thanks, Rick!!! Just wanted to let you know at least one person is reading your posts on this thread!!! [] Thanks JJ
  2. Edroom: Yes!! I've heard this setup at one of the Klipsch Pilgrimages a couple of years ago and it works very well, if implemented correctly. I've attached a PDF that may be helpful Thanks JJ 07-05-2012.pdf 07-05-2012.pdf 07-05-2012.pdf
  3. opps. You are correct sir. Should have caught for I wouldn't have a Dodger on my Fantasy Baseball league but I do have R.A. on my team. [] I also made a correction that his 33+inning non scoring streak ended. JJ
  4. I've been bad, very bad!! I haven't turned on either of my two 2 channel systems the past month or so What should be the punishment for this heinous act??!!?? JJ
  5. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving player. Matt Cain has been a victim for many years of no run support and he is a better pitcher then his record shows. There was also a very near 9-1 no hitter for R A Dickey (Mets). A questionable infield hit in the first inning cost him and a 9th inning error ( plus 2 pass balls due to R.A.'s knuckle ball) allowed a run to score in the 9th, which ended a 33+inning non-scoring steak. JJ
  6. Cut-Throats modded K-Horns are something special. I've had the privilege to listen to Kevin's system a couple of times and after each time it would take me a month or two to start liking my K-Horn setup, again. Kevin has the ideal set-up and you can tell a lot of time was spent getting it just right. Also, he is a very gracious host!! JJ P.S. Did he show you his secret tinkering room behind k-horns/entertainment center? The last time I was there, there was "Fly" tying going on in one corner, crossover tinkering in another, and some stereo receivers in the process of being re-conditioned.
  7. Thanks for posting the playlist, Larry!!! Be sure to turn it up so it can be heard in NW Wisconsin. [] JJ
  8. I can kind of help you!!![] When I had the KLF-30's in my main system (KLF-C7 center, RF-3 for surrounds), I drove them with a Denon AVR-3801. The Denon has served me well for the past 11 years and it now drives my bedroom set-up. I can't see that the AVR-3805 would be any less of a receiver then the 3801. My 3801 has plenty of connections (Less HDMI, of course) for speakers and devices. it doesn't run HOT and it is very quiet when switching between sources and video inputs. I've had lessor Denons and Onkyo's that are loud as !@#!@ when switching inputs and they ran very hot. So, not knowing the other receiver choices very well, my vote would be for the Denon 3805. (Despite the age, The Denon 38XX series were work horses) Good luck on your adventure!!! Thanks JJ
  9. Claude: I'm not an expert but Decca and Gramophone/EMI/Deutsche Grammophon come to mind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Grammophon My library of Classical Music is small, but the copies I have from those 2 labels are better then the Time Life and the newer RCA releases I own. Hopefully LarryC catches wind of this thread!!! Thanks JJ
  10. Happy Birthday, Larry!!!!!!!!!!!![D][^][<)] JJ

Finally bought me a car that is of this century!!! 2012 Camry SE
  13. Hi: I have both versions of the PS3 (can't remember the versions) but my Slim model is so loud that I have to turn up the volume to drown it out. It doesn't matter if it is sitting idle, playing a DVD, or streaming Netflix. I've tried every trick that is on the internet to fix the issue (There are many people out there that have the same problem) but nothing has worked. It was this way right out of the box and I should have returned it ASAP but I was too lazy and procrastinated too long. Just my .02 worth Thanks JJ
  14. I don't know anyone going to Bonaroo, except my hairdresser, but she's not the Pilgrimage type. Are you going, Colter? The 8-9 is the only weekend we can conceivably do what we want to do, so it's pretty firm. Not knowing what Bonaroo is or how big it is...Will it impact the availbility of motel rooms in Indy? Thanks JJ
  15. Kind of a related question... Is the Pandora radio a one instance per household? or is it per receiver? I have 2 qualifying HD receivers but only one of them has received the upgrade and that was over a month ago. Thanks JJ
  16. Thanks for the link, Dave. I will know more about this unit (model, condition, etc) when I look at it tonight. JJ
  17. Anyone have any experience or expertise in regards to these type of phonographs? Here is link to an auction that I'm going to and they have one up for auction. The picture of it is poor but I will be stopping by tonight for a look-see. http://garyrhondaericksonauctioneers.com/upcoming-consignments.php I'm not too concerned if it works for there are a couple of reasons for the interest: 1. It looks cool (Like something SETI would have in his collection) and 2. The lady having the auction and her late husband were neighbors of mine up until I was 6. They were sorta of like my adoptive grandparents for I didn't have any growing up. She was always had good treats for me when I would make my weekly "It's my Birthday, where are my treats" visit. So, I want to make sure that I get something from this auction for sentimental reasons and this phonograph has perked my interest. Thank You in advance for your input JJ
  18. Amy: What a great idea to make money for the Make a Wish foundation!!! Donation has been sent Thanks JJ
  19. Hey Rick: I see that you have a MH 2.2Le and was wondering what you are using for a cart (Stock? etc) I have a MH 2.1 and have been thinking of upgrading the stock cart. Nice setup, by the way!!! JJ

  21. If it were John "Stumpy" Pepys Day, I would be there in a heartbeat!![] Say Hi to the gang (Scott, Sue, and Damon) for me if you see them JJ
  22. Congrats on your new position Amy!!!! JJ
  23. How 'Not" to honor our cherished pets!! [] http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/45121167 JJ
  24. Welcome to the forum!! I would vote for Cornwalls based on your list but do agree with PrestonTom regarding K-horns. Heritage speakers (Cornwalls and K-Horns) don't come up for sale to often in our neck of the woods. (I'm 70 NE of the Twin Cities) I'll keep an eye out for you but only one eye, I may want them for myself. [] JJ
