  1. Typical output on my McIntosh is 1/100 watt at normal listening volume Design at low output is the key IMHO Mc seems to be good at delivering outstanding first 1/2 watt quality the rest is just head room.

  15. My brother kept telling me to watch this interview So I did It's a run down of his various ventures and thoughts on them What intrigued me is, Mars is not very human friendly from what I understand Why wouldn't the goal be to have robots build a robot factory on Mars And have minimal 10-20K colonists instead of the million Musk is suggesting Robots don't need air, food or water, and apparently energy sources are readily available on Mars With AI, at some point do the Robots on Mars go their own way ? If you don't need air, food, water... and can sit in standby mode for a thousand years Getting around the Galaxy sounds much easier 0:14 A future that's worth getting excited about 2:44 The sustainable energy economy, batteries and 300 terawatt hours of installed capacity 7:06 "Humanity will solve sustainable energy." 8:47 Artificial intelligence and Tesla's progress on full self-driving cars 19:46 Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot 21:46 "People have no idea, this is going to be bigger than the car." 23:14 Avoiding an AI dystopia 26:39 The age of abundance 28:20 Neuralink and brain-machine interfaces 36:55 SpaceX's Starship and the mission to build a city on Mars 46:54 "It's the people of Mars' city." 50:14 What else can Starship do and help explore? 53:18 Possible synergies between Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company and Neuralink 54:44 Intercontinental travel via Starship 58:41 Being a billionaire 1:02:31 Philanthropy as love of humanity 1:03:39 Population collapse and birth rates as a threat to future of human civilization 1:04:13 Elon's drive 1:06:06 "I think if you want the future to be good, you must make it so."

  19. The financial condition of the US debt is $30 trillion greater than 1980s With move off of petro dollar, inflation may be noticeable from one trip to the grocery to the next Local Trader Joes only had one type of large chocolate bar, occupying the spaces of four bars normally Chocolate shortages ? I just had a lot of parts replaced on my Buick Sedan to ensure at least another 50kmi with little to no service other than oil. My second car is mint I may get my motorcycle running as a 2nd backup or buy an enduro dirt bike for Mad Max Fest If I had more hair I might get a Mohawk and Colored spikes.
  20. First thing that came to mind If for an income producing asset a risk may be warranted Debts are Certain, gains are not I would borrow money for a milk producing cow, but not for a steak dinner Hamlet Act 1, scene 3, 75–77 Neither a borrower nor a lender be Polonius: Neither a borrower nor a lender be, For loan oft loses both itself and friend, And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry. Old Polonius counsels his hotheaded son Laertes, who is about to embark for Paris for his gentleman's education [see THE PRIMROSE PATH]. While he still has the chance, Polonius wholesales a stockroom of aphorisms, the most famous of which is "Neither a borrower nor a lender be." On Polonius's terms, there is little to argue with in his perhaps ungenerous advice. His logic is thus: lending money to friends is risky, because hitching debt onto personal relationships can cause resentment and, in the case of default, loses the lender both his money and his friend. Borrowing invites more private dangers: it supplants domestic thrift ("husbandry")—in Polonius's eyes, an important gentlemanly value. Incidentally, in the days when Hamlet was first staged, borrowing was epidemic among the gentry, who sometimes neglected husbandry to the point where they were selling off their estates piece by piece to maintain an ostentatious lifestyle in London. https://www.enotes.com/shakespeare-quotes/neither-borrower-nor-lender

    AXPONA 2022 CHICAGO

AMPS I liked the sound of the Bryston amp Sounds like the old Yamaha MX Series amps that I love Just a quick impression Beautiful, clear and sweet mid range at low volume Too many of the rooms have the gear screaming at the listener I go by female vocal at low volume for lifelike human voice If it fails female voice, I lose interest completely I only need 30 seconds A lot of gear falls on it's face with female voice at any volume speakers and amps regardless of room tuning To do a lab evaluation with your ears would require everything other the amp stays the same and you rotate amps while listening to the same song over and over. Vendors were 90% streaming music this year, limited offering as I discovered by the service so much for every song ever recorded. Some really expensive gear failed miserably on this song, Nicks This what they had I would find this better if they had it Should sound like she is 10ft in front of you
