  1. I'm currently using a set of Promedia 5.1 Ultra's in my bedroom hooked up to my iPod and am considering simplifying and getting an ifi set. Curious as to how they compare or if this is a foolish move? sound quality is more important than surround with my current layout.
  2. Thanks William. I ran across NetFlix about 8 or 9 months ago now and though it was the greatest idea since sliced bread. Unfortunatly I live up in Canada so the shipping back and forth is impossible. Keep on spreading the word and maybe one day they'll be big enough to expand up here.
  3. It was me who said that. you can use my quote for a 50 cent royalty fee. Oh wait, I'm not Metallica or the Recording industry of America. Go ahead, feel free.
  4. If you don't absolutely have your heart set on the Omni mOunts, you can get a decent pair of speaker stands at Radio Shack for FAR less money, if you want to check them out go to www.radioshack.com and look under model numbers 40-2015 and 40-2016.
  5. If you can get the XP for 35 bucks less then go for it. Its a GREAT card, you'll love it. Even if the XP was $35 more, than the SB Live it would be a better deal.
  6. we will be starting up grief couceling sessions on thursday nights entitled "Klipsch, and why they don't want me owning their speakers" Our hope is to help people work through the pain an confusion of having to wait. J/K!
  7. I do'nt know what to tell ya AOaR except: "to everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn. A time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to live, and a time to die.
  8. I tell ya, I can't imagine why anyone would go to Disnyland when there's Vegas. Better rides, less money, no 3 hour lineups. If you want a real thrill the next time you go, I highly recomend the indoor skydiving!!!
  9. That looks like a very cool product. However, you would be best to get a hold of the manufacturer themselves and ask. From the looks of things, it is setup for use with 2 and 4 channel sound cards not 5.1 sound cards. Post back here if you get more information, I wouldn't mind getting one of those myslef.
  10. Hopefully thats just Outpost being casious and saying there's an outside chance it could take that long. From the sounds of things from the last few posts from Amy, they're only a few days away.
  11. I usually stay at the MGM Grand now. They usually have very good deals and I love going on all the rides. Did you go on the Sky Screamer?
  12. The difference in the $400 to $600 price range would put those two sets of speakers in the exact same catagory. The price difference being in the inclusion of the decoder with the Videologic system. Both systems are entirely geared to a multi media setup as well, but you are correct, it boils down to personal preferance and personally I love my Klipsch.
  13. There's already been a hundred and one posts on this topic, so to break it down very simply, If you need lots of extra connections Go with the GTXP, if all you need is a basic 5.1 sound card with Great sound get the Philips Acoustic Edge. Both are great cards and both are better than their SoundBlaster equivalent. As to your second question the 5.1;s are supposed to have spring clips on the back of the speakers rather than the miniplugs. So any wire can be used easily.
  14. Its almost like they have a built in timer, huh.
  15. Yes, all the ins and outs for the GTXP are on the external box
