MAYBE He should NOT PART WITH THEM at such an outrageous PRICE, and KEEP THEM!!!

OPINIONS WANTED! La Scala versus Cornwall IV....WHO'S BEST and WHY? Looking for opinions with FIRST HAND LISTENING KNOWLEDGE OF BOTH SPEAKERS!..for period of time even BETTER!!! I have a pair of recapped La Scala's and have the opportunity to pick up a pair of Cornwall VI at a decent price. I cannot afford to keep both. Is it worth putting a couple thousand in the kitty for a pair Cornwall IV?...will they make me forget the La Scala's midrange?...or should I stand pat with my La Scalas with a couple HSU Subs and save myself some moola? I cannot afford to keep both sets of speakers, I would have to sell the La Scalas and probably one sub to make the Cornwall IV purchase. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EDUCATED OPINIONS!

Thanks to all for their input! I have a pair of recapped La Scala's and was worried that I was missing something having them and not the Belles. Having all your testimony, It seems that taking the monetary plunge to purchase the Belles does not seemed justified. Therefore, I have decided to keep the La Scala's and swap out the tweeters to the B&C DE120Driver.

What are the MAIN DIFFERENCES between LA SCALA and BELLE Speakers from someone who has owned BOTH. Listening and Sound differences. Thank you in advance for your input!

I have heard the Cornwall IV and I have a pair of older La Scala (recapped) with a good sub. I will take the La Scala's every day of the week. The proof is hearing both speakers, and justifying the dramatic difference in cost to be a an additional debate.

There is NO WAY the Cornwall IV sounds better than a pair of La Scala's with a HIGH QUALITY SUB (SVS?)!!!

I have trouble paying $1500 for a pair of Fortes.

Can I use these with stock La Scala's? I am assuming I would have to fashion some type of bracket for them...would I?
