  1. I am going to see it reguardless. Its a gotta see movie.
  2. I looked at the ratings on the back of the reviever and I have it on the atleast 4 ohm side. The other side I believe is less power because it has a minimun of 8 ohms. All the wires are connected correctly. Maybe I am going deaf.
  3. I made sure the receiver was off and actually I unplugged it from the wall. I think I will switch it back. I tried it even in stereo mode and they still dont sound like they used to. Seem like I have to turn the receiver up more to get the same volume, and if it was not for my ksw-12 I would have no bass. I did not realize how weak of a bass response these speakers have. I almost wish I had of kept my synergy ksb 3.1's they seem to have more kick to them on stands.
  4. not that I know of. There is a setting in the back of the receiver that changes the ohms and orginally was set to the default. I changed it and really could not hear a difference so I changed it back. that is the only thing. Even when its on 2.1 stereo is not all that loud.
  5. Weird... My fronts don't sound like they used to? I have to turn my reciever up to a -40 to get volume out of it. I know its not my receiver yamaha rxv-1000. Even turning it up to -30 the driver are loud but they are not moving like I think they should. The horn wsound fine and even the driver sound fine. ?
  6. Am I odd, or did anyone fill like there was something missing?? I still think the two towers was a great movie, but I liked the Fellowship of the ring better. It will be a awesome dvd to buy.
  7. weird, I never noticed it either. Kind of strange!
  8. 37 VIEWS AND NO RESPONCES?? COME ON GUYS!
  9. It should be ok. I believe they are ported on the front aren't they?
  10. I have a yamaha rxv-1000 receiver and klipsch rf-3's for fronts. I have a ksc-c1 for a center channel. I would like to get the matching rc-3 but hate to dish out the 250.00 for one. I just cant see the rc-3 center outperforming the ksc-c1 buy that much? I can get another ksc-c1 for 100.00 new. Does anyone have a rc-3 for sale that might want to get a newer rc-3II? Does any stores have some for sale that are demos?
  11. bozz, I had to turn my ksw-12 to about 9 out of 11 to get the sound I wanted. Turn it up as high as you need it to get the sound you want. Just check the amp and make sure it does not heat up too much. You should have no problem.
  12. ups delievered it and then realized what was in the box and undelievered it!! lol
  13. I will trade you my rf3's and the problem is solved.. . Seriously there is some kind of magnet adaptor you can buy to prevent the woofers interfearing with your tv. Some board members here have done this. Sorry I cant recall who did it.
  14. what are your setting on. My gain control is at 1-2 o'clock. Max would be 5 o'clock. I have never bottom mine out.
  15. kenratboy, I thought the JBL's were awesome. I remember reading something about this 4 months ago.?? Maybe if you get a better amp (parts express is cheap) it will take the driver to the voulme and bass response you want?
  16. I have a 2 year old rca receiver. It does not have a output for a optical cable. Is there going to be a big difference in optical output vs. s-video for sound. If so where can I pick up one of these receivers and are they pricey? 17. guys, I think erikjohn hit it on the head. They were a bit harsh at first and now have a more mellow sound vs a sound that fills like your ears are bleeding. Even if the treble was turned up all the way with a receiver (any) that has a hundredth % fro thd should not ever blow tweeters. I would expect it from a pair of Sony or lesser speakers, but I bought these Klipsch because they are suspose to be a higher end set up. Not to knock them because I love my rf-3's and my ksw-12 they never get turned up past -40. Its to hard to hold onto your drink and popcorn at that level. You can tell when you overdrive the tweeters and drivers because they have a distorted sound. I believe I hit that around -25 and quickly turned the volume back to the normal level. Hey you got to know your speakers limits! I know my local dealer and he is a great guy. I have spent thousands there in the past years and he would replace them anytime if they pop or blow. When I was going to buy them he had the rf-3's and the klf-10's beside each other. I got the rf-3's because they were brighter and had more bass. Thanks for the imput guy. Much is appreciated. ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V1000 Klipsch RF-3's Klipsch KSC-C1(LOOKING FOR A RC-3 OR RC-3II) Kenwood KSV64 Bipolar Speakers Klipsch Subwoofer KSW-12 Television: TOSHIBA THEATER VIEW 50" DVD Player SONY S-360 CD Changer CDC 585 5 Disc Yamaha Harman Kardon TC-1000 monster cable interconnects/12 gauge speaker wire
  18. boa12, is it worth the trouble? Will there be that much of a difference in the lfe output? ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V1000 Klipsch RF-3's Klipsch KSC-C1(LOOKING FOR A RC-3 OR RC-3II) Kenwood KSV64 Bipolar Speakers Klipsch Subwoofer KSW-12 Television: TOSHIBA THEATER VIEW 50" DVD Player SONY S-360 CD Changer CDC 585 5 Disc Yamaha Harman Kardon TC-1000 monster cable interconnects/12 gauge speaker wire
  19. My rf-3's don't sound like they used to? It seems that they have lost a lot of treble. I have the treble all the way up on my yamaha receiver. All the connections are in on the back. ??? does anyone know why ??? ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V1000 Klipsch RF-3's Klipsch KSC-C1(LOOKING FOR A RC-3 OR RC-3II) Kenwood KSV64 Bipolar Speakers Klipsch Subwoofer KSW-12 Television: TOSHIBA THEATER VIEW 50" DVD Player SONY S-360 CD Changer CDC 585 5 Disc Yamaha Harman Kardon TC-1000 monster cable interconnects/12 gauge speaker wire This message has been edited by Klipsch-daddy on 09-24-2002 at 06:33 AM

  23. Monsters Inc has some nice sound effects in the movie. I think Toy Story I and II were better than Monsters but the Monsters has the new Dolby trailer!! ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V1000 Klipsch RF-3's Klipsch KSC-C1(LOOKING FOR A RC-3 OR RC-3II) Kenwood KSV64 Bipolar Speakers Klipsch Subwoofer KSW-12 Television: TOSHIBA THEATER VIEW 50" DVD Player SONY S-360 CD Changer CDC 585 5 Disc Yamaha Harman Kardon TC-1000 monster cable interconnects/12 gauge speaker wire
