  1. Great story Jim! I have been tight friends with Keifer since childhood. He will always be my best friend although we don't see each other much, we talk on the phone all the time. His twin sister Rachel and his mom Shirley are a surrogate family to me. He brought Lou Diamond Philips up to Toronto after this film and we partied hard for about a month. Years later I worked with Lou on the set of "The Big Hit' and have been friends ever since. I have heard soooo many stories.

  2. As far as I know the tweeters are stocked.  I purchased these speaker only a few months ago.  The Yaquin amps go for around $350-425 depending on where you are getting it from.  Shipping is very high if it is from China and a little cheaper if it through the retailer in Canada.  I am willing to do $325 on the amp and will include 8-12 Nos tubes that have all been tested.

I have heard the Forte II and these sound just as great with the new XO.  The passive can be pulled to see the new XO and I have the paper work for the XO.  If you subtract the cost of the the XO, the price is right in line with what Forte's normally go for with the old XO. I would not jump to change anything in the speaker since they sound great. It is hard to believe that these speakers are not new when you look at them.  I also have the mod RF 7's for comparison to the Forte I and they excel in the midrange performance.  No need for a sub since the bass is strong and tight.  As stated, Get the speakers and amp and you are ready to go.

I was about to PM you and see if you wanted to sell just the crites XO's if you had the originals to reinstall. Oh well. I'm installing new Crites Ti tweeters and his Mid diaphragms this weekend, then test and replace XO's in near future. Love my Fortes! Using a Quartet as center channel has been great and freed up some cash by selling my rc64.

GLWS, If I wasn't committed to restoring a Scott 340b I'd be seriously considering the Yaquin to try out.

  3. Try this link for fight in VLC player

    Azteca 7

    Code: http://200.76.77.237/LIVE/H01/CANAL107/PROFILE03.m3u8?

stick that in your vlc player stream, it has been running for months hopefully it wont get shut down
    before the fight.

Going to be an interesting fight. I don't think Manny has the power now to KO a true welterweight now, especially with the chin and defense Mayweather brings. Mannys only advantage is he is a southpaw and might be able to get his jab past the shoulder roll defense. I think Manny would actually benefit from the bigger ring as it could allow him to keep moving left to avoid Mayweather from cutting off his angles. I'm hoping Manny can overcome those obstacles, but I see mayweather squeezing out a UD or split decision.

  4. Recapped 1070 getting regular duty in the bedroom here. I switch it with my C28 on occasion connecting it to my MC250 in living room. I'm on lookout now for a 1060. I sold a 2225 that sounded very nice stock. I like the sound of the low watt Marantz.

  5. The question no one has asked yet, is...are you only powering the Cornwall I's for 2 channel, and considering a Marantz for that?  If so, there's no reason you shouldn't also be looking at lower power Marantz units as well....I have a 2230, and a 2226B that sound super sweet through Cornwalls, Belles and Heresy's....Just a thought....

Toss the Marantz 1060 and 1070 into the mix if that's indeed the case . I have the 1070 35w and keeping my eye out for a nice 1060 now after hearing it. I had a 2225 as well for awhile and it was nice.

  6. Here Bill, this is the one I use, it had no problem reaching out as far as my rc64. We have the same TV. Sturdy as hell when fully extended the 26.5 inches it states and has been going strong for a few years now.

Edit, I was curious and just measured it. From the wall the front of TV is exactly 29 inches out fully extended and it's sturdy.
