  1. I have kids playing around my Cornwalls and Heresies all the time - so far no problem , they are just not appealing to kids - IMHO - always leave the grilles on -
  2. the Quadra cut 4 cutter design bits are the best out there -

  5. I second Jason in the fact that the Dayton is the better built and conservatively rated at 250 Watts - Bass Boost is defeatable which is the added feature
  6. Tim - just for your info -I use 2 pairs of Cornwalls with 2 pairs of Heresies on Top of the Cornwall cabs -so yes , , the higher , the better as they bring out the details -
  7. does John Allen work with Klpsch -now that Klipsch has driver and Woofer manufacturing capabilities -
  8. 1 inch panels all around the bass bin - including the bottom doghouse access door - it looks like this Scala can take more power as well -if not 200 watts - -that will be good to upgrade all the older Scalas -the K55X outsourced from Atlas Sound is Alnico whereas the new one is Ferrite by the look of the magnet as well as a complete billett assembly - the diaphragm should be 2 inches as well by the looks of the driver -
  9. any Sony - Pioneer - Yamaha amplifier will do - from 100$-500$ - Japan made of course -
  10. the Dynaco St70 was a kit - correct - get it checked by a competent technician just to verify the odds and ends , it should'nt be hard for a tech to find the noise source -the second question is also if this is used with a pre-amplifier , you can isolate the preamplifier or test with another preamp to verify whether the noise is still present -
  11. The Dynaco ST70 tube amplifier was a new built up kit -not an original Dynaco st70 amplifier -
  12. I would rather just buy a single Walnut Belle for 500$ - he can keep the black one
  13. - this is the Klipsch forum - we have KP 600's that "Could" pizz off a neighbor even more so than a EAW setup can -
  14. beautiful - did you actually build these yourself - either you are handy with a soldering iron or you are a great technician - great job
  15. strange enough- for these graphs - when the old bands like the Stones - Eagles and the rest come in town , there are tons of kids at these shows and the musicians are in their seventies 's - soon 80's -
  16. Hi - Steven , what was the model of the DBX amplifier you have on repair -as far as the tube amplifier being noisy , can you elaborate more -thanks -
  17. it is even more fun when you hook them up and listen to that Heresy sound -
  18. Bendable plywood? yeah - now that would work for sure
  19. wood would only be for show purposes -
  20. C'mon, let's not get personal, and certainly no name-calling. First of all Mr. Thom is entitled to his opinion of what he heard with his own ears, we weren't there. And second, he did not insult the whole Klipsch community, he didn't hurt my feelings one bit. He said he heard a Heresy setup, possibly the original Heresy. There is a reason Klipsch moved on to the Heresy II. I imagine if we could sit down with Mr. Thom and listen to the same setup he heard, we might agree with him. Who knows? I confess to have sinned in temptation - God have mercy on my soul
  21. Shouldn't that should be AL-4 or AL-5? you noticed that - did you - A L - Lascala - A K -Khorn -
  22. a Heresy will bring out details - you didnt know were even there / lacking - you mean -UNCOLORED - Heresy speakers were designed for vocals - and precise sound reproduction - =if you want - a lot of boom - and bang - Sears -kmart speakers will do better - - I would suggest you listen to some HI FI before sharing with a whole forum such a remark - -in case you didnt know -Heresy 1 carries the same midrange K55V or K55X and tweeter T35 as a Khorn in 2015 - the H3 carries the same midrange and tweeter of a Cornwall 3 made in 2015 -
