Looking at the pictures , these are mint - scala speakers that we all look for - these speakers were made out of real plywood with a birch veneer - versus the new ones made with MDF - which is like a particle board but much denser - the components in the speaker are great K55V - K77 round tweeter - AA crossovers - K33 e woofer - and last the mint cabinets - and the option of the full grilles that cost a fortune with badges - the full grilles are worth 200$ each alone -badges are selling for about a 100$ -all of these features are simply the best - so yes - I am in NY but would I had been in your area - I would have paid 2000$ for these mint speakers and unfinished is the ultimum you would want to buy - no questions asked - you have a mint pair - 2000$ is a fair price - a new pair cost upwards of 6000$ - by the way - what kind of amplifier was he using with these speakers and is that for sale as well -

Conversely, one would hope that people with badges and guns wouldn't shoot at a person throwing rocks. In the late 60s, my father suffered a complete mental breakdown. Sheriff's deputies had to pick him up on a country road where...he threw rocks at them when they approached. Oddly, they did not seem find it necessary to execute him for this affront to their God-given authority, nor even teach him a lesson with a baton. They simply ducked the rocks and gently brought him under control. They were law enforcement professionals. Dave Dave that is the right answer - plain common sense - people with mental distress are part of our society - a lot of us spent years patrolling their communities to serve and protect in cases when they had to be in harms way and faced violence - the problem is that in high crime areas , the aspect of the community is gone , Police officers become themselves sick with PTSD , they dont recognize that the post traumatic stress disorder causes them to be violent - when all hell breaks loose , the gun is the answer 99% of the time

I own a pair of Heresy speakers with the laser logo - you cant rub it off like you would for vinyl ink - OK had me wondering, never really looked at them closely. It looks like it's stamped or laser etched ? The letter are recessed and painted or something in the recess. If I put my finger nail in the letter it feels recessed, you can feel the edge of the letters. I tried to take a pic to show it in the reflection of the light.............ok i'm lazy I didn't feel like opening a tripod so this is it these are not the laser logo - but the other picture is -no recess or letter edges or paint - flush -cant scratch it off -I dont know how its made- -
I wonder if it works for insulating turntables -

+1 on the idea of going without veneer and just staining and finishing the sides. IMHO, it makes for a very nice 'finish'. Found this picture on a Google search. can you export your work or do you just make components for Iran - obviously your work interests me greatly -

new studio monitors are made with low resonance materials - composites in the motorboard area but they still use mdf for the cabinet - you could glue a carbon fiber outer laminated in MDF for a low resonance speaker - the carbon fiber adding rigidity - a combination of wood and carbon fiber is best here -
