  1. I never registered it, so I guess if whom ever buys it does they would recieve it? Sounds resonable to me. I through it up for $275 + shipping and see what happens I guess.
  2. Decided to go with the Epik, just got to sell my Sub 12 and save up another $100 in the mean time and were in business. Thank you Danzo and ironsave for all your help. It will prolly be a month or so before I actually get it but I will write up a review after. Pre and post break in. And suggestions on a price for the Sub 12? I know like a month ago someone with a 5 yr old one sold theirs for $250. Mine was bought on June 16th (my b-day present to me) so it still has warrenty, box, and is perfect condition. Just trying to get a price down before I post it in the garage sale. Thanks.
  3. One last thing, I just had myself talked into getting the Legend, until I looked over the dimensions. It has dual 12's and is basiclly the same size as my sub 12. Is this something to be hesitant about, or is it try what they say... that big things come in small packages? The Legend is 5400 cubic inches, and for example the VTF-2 MK 3 is 7590 cubic inches. I know this is oldside deminsions, but that is a large difference, esp since the smalled one has dual subs. Is this because the HSU is ported (I am not sure if it is or not) and the Legend sealed?
  4. The Legend has a 3 yr, but no trail time. I am not the most knowledgable so if you could help me with a few things. What is SPL? The Emotiva says it has 110-113 dB, Legend doesn't state but i have read alot of ppl speank of SPL. Also the Legend says it goes down to 20 Hz +/- 3.5dB (16-18 Hz usable in room extension?), is that a big difference compared to the Emotiva's 22Hz with no +/- stated? And danzo I would be half tempted to urge you to do the DIY sub and sell me your Legend but the warrenty is non-transferrable which is a bummer for resale.
  5. Also has anyone ever heard a lava sub? I have seen alot of people mention them and just checked out the website. LSP-12 338.46 shipped. Nice price but if it isnt a great sub I don't want. Thanks.
  6. I know that every person I have seen with the emotiva is very satisfied, which makes me believe I would be as well. However, if I could get something much better for a little more I would be willing to do so. Also thanks for the would be invite (ironsave), I am the only one of my friends that is into this kind of thing so finding people to o listen to their gear is difficult. The only way I can is to go into a store, but then of course whatever they show you is the best there is (biased). They love to come listen, but we are all in our ealy to mid 20's so they aren't into spending their extra cash on HT just yet. And Danzo you are the first one I have talked to that actually has a Legend, you think they are mainly music subs? I do still watch more movies than I listen to music, but I am getting more into music (thought I dout it will ever overtake my movies). If you are planning on replacing what are you going to replace it with? Also as Jason said earlier in this post there is an a2-300 around me that they are asking $300 for. Would that give me what I am looking for or no? And have you heard the Legend ironsave?
  7. The room is a little over 2000 cubic feet. Has 2 doorways in it, one has a door one doesn't. I use it for mostly Blu-Rays and HDTV, but am more and more listening to music since I took your advice and got the Onkyo HT-RC180 (using the Pandora). That is where most of my problems lie, I hear no bass while using Pandora. And I love bass, use to be into car stereos, kicker solo's. Lots of bass. But I want to be able to feel it at low levels and be in an earthquake at higher! Thanks for your help.
  8. Are those better than an epik legend?
  9. Need help picking out a new sub. I currently have a sub 12. Was kinda looking at an epik legend or emotiva ultra 12. Any recommendations are welcome. Looking at no more than 500. Less is def ok. I want something that is gonna be head over heels above the sub 12. Thank Yall.
  10. I know this is off topic a little, but I was considering getting another Sub 12 or selling my current and getting something totally different, maybe an Epik Legend. I am hesitant to do so though. Anyone familiar with the Legend? Would be be a better upgrade than a 2nd Sub 12?
  11. Again thanks for your advice, I just posted this on the powered subwoofer page to get others input. But as f now I'm thinking I am going to hold off until I can save a few hundred more for the Legend. Have you actually heard the Epik Legend? Or just going off the Stats?
  12. Elemental Designs A5s, A3 250 or A2 300 Emotiva Ultra Sub 12 Klipsch RW-12D Epik Legend I am wanting to get something that will blow out my Klipsch sub 12, which I believe is good for HT but is not so good for music. Which of these (or any other in the $500 max range) would you suggest? I am leaning toward the Epik Legend or Emotiva Ultra 12 (not sure if Epik is worth the exta 130 after shipping). Any help is appreicated and thanks in advance.
  13. If we are speaking prices, the emotiva is 429 w/ free shipping. The Epik Legend is 499 plus 60 bucks to ship to my house, that 560. So if you are saying they are a coin flip (tied in performance) then would the emotiva for 130 bucks cheaper be the way to go? Or is the Legend well worth the extra 130? I just read over the link posted and the legend seems very cool, but I am wanting to get some great performance you can feel. Also, thanks for your help.
  14. I read that post and it seems that the sub-12 has 95% of what the rw-12d does. I enjoy my sub 12 for HT, but while listening to Pandora on my reciever, it flat out sucks. While watching a movie it does a pretty good job tho, you can feel it. I am looking for something flat out better, not just 5% or so, so maybe the rw-12d isn't for me. I know you mentioned the epik, how about the emotiva or something else. 500 may be pushing it right now, but if it is going to blow me away (literally) then I may save up a little more and purchase. So what would you reccommend, $500 prolly the max.
  15. I currently have a Klipsch sub 12 (synergy) and have been searching to get a 2nd one for $250 (what I paid for the one I have). I just checked newegg and they have the RW-10D for sale right now for my $250 budget. Would this: 1) work well with my sub 12? and 2) be better or worse then my sub 12? Please let me know, the deal is up shortly, Thank you all in advance.

  17. Ya it is. That's an amazing price on 2.
  18. Yes. It is the synergy. I know the emotiva is a better sub one on one. That's y I ask if two on one would favor the klipsch or emotiva. If I sell my klipsch I can get a single emotiva. Or I can keep the klipsch and get a 2nd.
  19. If your not a fan of the emotiva inwalls can you recommend an inwall that I can get 3 pairs for under $500? 1 pair for rear surround 1 pair for main surrounds and 1 pair for front heights. 1 will be inwall and 2 pairs of in ceiling.
  20. Which would be better? 2 klipsxh sub 12's or 1 emotiva sub 12? For a 14x19 room. Mainly home theater use.

    AV rack?

I'm looking to get an av rack. I saw one on tv last night and thought they were pretty nice. I'm just wondering if there is an internet dealer that would have cheaper ones than my local store. I need one tall enough for my reciever, xbox, bluray player, cable box, and emotiva I'm gonna get. Maybe a space or two for future upgrades as well. Black metal is what I saw and liked. Let me know. Thanks.
  22. I know I saw the one titled mint XPA-3. however it is sold. I won't have the money for a couple months anyways. I am just figuring out what I am going to get, since I can't purcase yet. And for my use they are going to be used for mostly BluRays and X-Box, a little music but not nearly as much. I appreciate the help as well. If you are referring to another XPA-3 in the fourm let me know. I may be able to scrap something togehter if the price is right.
  23. I assumed that all 9 speakers would be to much. I was planning on getting the XPA-3 to power my front 3 and wanted to make sure my reciever could handle the rest. Everytime I find someone that is using these speakers they have an external amp pushing them, so I wasn't sure if my Onkyo would cut it. But if it works for you it should work for me. And when you say a long break in periord what are we talkin? couple weeks? month? several months?
  24. i am just wondering if anyone has heard the Emotiva UAW-8.2's or UAC-8.2's? They are the in wall/ceiling speakers. If so would my Onkyo HT-RC180 be able to power them since they are 4 ohm speakers?
