  1. I have a Hersey’s FCL for home theater and sounds really nice. The center sets on my Klipsch RSW 12” Subwoofer Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. It’s a good deal, but I don’t have a place for them. Though it would be a fun project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks so much to everyone who replied. I may see if I can borrow them to do a comparison and go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the reply. I own a pair of Forte I’s just wondering if they would be worth purchasing, for the right price. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. They are in excellent shape. Owner said they didn’t have too many hours on them. He bought them in Japan when he was in Desert Storm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. What would be a good price to pay for a pair of Klipsch Tangent 5000? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I live in Washington Mo, you? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I’ve always wanted to go. I live west of St. Louis anyone from that area going? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Just wanted to say I picked up the Klipsch PowerGate today. It’s got a very nice warm well rounded sound especially with the turntable. Not too bright nor harsh. I’m really enjoying it so far. It also allows me to stream and play FLAC files. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I planning on changing my Denon AR-397 2-channel for Klipsch PowerGate for two channel listening. This will allow me streaming and playing FLAC files from my Mac also CD’s and Vinyl. Any experience with the PowerGate. I’ll be pushing a pair of Forte 1’s. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I have an older Denon DRA-397 2-channel with phono. I was wondering about a 2-channel Rotel. I’ve never heard Rotel. Just wondering how it compares to Denon. I’m driving a pair of Forte’s, used just for two channel listening. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I did both shots. And both of them have me a 100+ fever for 24 hours. I felt like crap. I did read that was a reaction for some people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I just recently picked up from a guy for free an old Pioneer SA5800 integrated amp. 25 watts per channel. I’m using it with my Fortes’ for two channel vinyl. I have an older Denon D30L turntable with an Orfton red cartridge. This set up sounds amazing! The 25 watts will run you out of the room. I can’t listen to it pass about 8 watts. I’m amazed how warm and clean the old Pioneer sounds compared to the newer Denon 2 Channel amp I own. I know your looking at tubes, but something SS vintage might be exactly what you’re looking for. 14. I have really been enjoying my my Super Heresys. To me they sound as good, maybe better than my Forte’s and could be because my Forte’s are in too small of a room. The Super Heresys seem much more balanced in sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is there any consensus on how much insulation is needed for the Super Hersey? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Looking to trade a Klipsch Center Channel RC-25 in excellent condition for a small 10”-8” powered Klipsch Sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I really love my mod it really shows up in the upper mid bass, really helps the midrange. For me, it helped to cut down on the brightness and hardness of the horn midrange. Gives the speaker a much smoother sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That’s a great album. I also own that album. I’ve always liked Dan Fogelberg. I think he was an amazing writer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yea these came out of a theater. I got three for $250. One had some water damage on the cabinet. I called Allen about a replacement cabinet and he said they were $250. And that the speakers cost $750 each. Any ideas on an ideal distance from the wall, with the port? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I’m not exactly sure either. Hps4000.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Nothing but filled them with some insulation and put a new back on with the 4”x4” port from Dayton. Moved the crossover to a side wall ( in these HP-70’s it was mounted on the back). Also added banana plugs for inputs. That’s all so far, I haven’t had time to tweak it much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That’s interesting, so maybe it’s not as much of a frequency thing, as it is an openness sound. I have a pair of Fortes and Hersey HD’s. It seems I can never tell if the tweeters are working until I stick my ear right up against them. But I know they are by the presence of air, cymbals, bells, brushes and etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I agree! The maximum a human can hear is 20 k, but that’s mainly children and into twenties. Most adults can only hear up to about 17k or 18k. As you get older 40’s - 50’s you can only hear around 10k to 12k So it doesn’t matter if the horn goes to 40k and you turn it up. You’re ears only hear what they hear. I’m 59 and I’ve played music most of my life. I wear hearing aids and can only hear up to 8k. Plus as Tony stated there’s not much musical information above 17k. Just my two cents worth. 25. I got my speakers converted. The bass is so much better. Even on a short stand up off the floor there’s nice bass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
